The Lagos State Command of NPF has arrested one Austine Okwuokei (seen in photo) at Costain Roundabout, Iponri in the morning of 1st June, 2016 while extorting money from motorist under the pretence of being a policeman.

Investigation carried out revealed that the said Austine makes up to Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) daily from his illegal activities which has painted the police in bad light as his victims saw him as a genuine policeman. Arrangements have been concluded to charge the suspect to court accordingly.

The Lagos State Police Command is advising members of the public not to part with their money to anyone who claims to be a police officer or seen wearing resemblance of police uniform as the leadership of the force frowns at all forms of corruption.

Rubbish talk. He is not the only one almost 90% of the police officers that stays in major government road collect money from all these Bus drivers that usually carry overload.

In Osun State from ILE-IFE to ORE Ondo state all the police officers are thieves.They extort money as if they are going to die without seeing the money.

In Abia State from Umuahia to Aba and Onitsha

In Anambara from Umuahia to Onitsha even those Police in Owerri Road they collect from poor drivers


I don't blame this police officer because he was fake and was also caught that made him scape goat.I will blame the police officer and it's association to look into this matter. They are always victim of this nonsense.

Since I have been travelling I had never seen Nigerian Army begging for money,not until last week I was ashamed when I saw one begging for money.
