Kalou is\was a winger...Wijnaldum is a 10.

Our first choice 10 is usually Oscar. Oscar's highest ever contribution to league cause has been 6 goals and 8 assists. Wijnaldum beat that in his 1st season, despite playing with some truly dead players and an atrocious manager.

On that basis alone, Wijnaldum is already better than what we have.

I like the guy not because of stats though, because numbers can deceive....What I like about him is his pace,movement, and energy...he's like a poor man's Alexis Sanchez.

Meanwhile,no matter what may come,I don't want Willian to leave CFC. If not for any reason at all, he literally wants to play for the team. I do know willians goals / chances created/assist ratio per game as a 10 or a winger is extremely poor and below the minimum expectation for a quality player. However,I still feel he should be made to assume rakitics role in barca for CFC, where we can better utilize is strongest qualities.

I am with Ibime but i think we should give Willian a season more sha just for fairness sake. To be sincere the fact that Willian was our best player summed up our woeful Season. Yes he got work rate but Me believes the only time that is actually useful is when he is trying to dispossess players. His runs don't usually open defenses

I have observed for a while that there is a certain manner of imbalance that fielding the likes of Fabregas, Oscar and Willian brings. None of them is a complete Midfielder. If you ask me, if I can get cash for all, I will.

As a matter of fact, I believe even Matic brings a manner of imbalance to the team. I am beginning to look in a certain way. Left to me, I will re-staff the midfield and wings with the sole aim of bringing balance, structure and better ball retention to the midfield and attack.

I was speaking to a pro Rugby player today, and he was telling me about their off-season/pre-season schedule.

Their pre-season started on Monday, and he only got 3.5 weeks off. He said that this week has been hell for them. Apparently they get pushed on their exercise bikes till they literally puke, and then they have had to pull cars strapped to their waists in muddy fields.

I wonder what football pre-season is like. Does anyone have a clue?

Radja Nainggolan says Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard are both “trying to convince” him to join Chelsea.

Roma midfielder Nainggolan is a reported priority target of incoming Blues manager Antonio Conte, who faced him while manager of Juventus.

The Belgian admitted that he would consider a move to Stamford Bridge if ever the option became apparent, and the 28-year-old says that compatriots Hazard and Courtois are both attempting to persuade him to join them in the Premier League.

Nainggolan also confirmed that he had held discussions with Conte, saying: “We’ve talked. He already wanted me at Juve, but I told him that I would never go there.”

Speaking to Belgian media, he added: “Now he’s trying to convince me to go to Chelsea and we’ve had a chat about it. He’s an interesting person. We’ll see [if I stay at Roma]. I don’t know.

“[Thibaut] Courtois and [Eden] Hazard are trying to convince me to go to London with them.

“I know they’re a big club, but I’m not going to get obsessed thinking about it. It’s been ten years that I’ve been linked with a new club each year and yet I’ve only played for three clubs.
