why cant our intelligence team track the IP Address of these tweets and website.

It appears the whole thing is shrouded in grand conspiracy.

My chief suspicion remains on Iran. that country said it clearly that we will pay for how we treated their Shi'ite brothers....

Yes my brother, I have studied their mode of writing which sometimes seems like a translated text. This thing obviously doesn't originate from here, just as an example them calling the Agip line obi obi is something i doubt any one conversant with Niger Delta oil and gas business will do. OB/OB this is apart from so many obvious errors in nonmenclature I see on their tweets. Points to one and only one thing, the perpetrators are on ground, the tweets are arranged by someone possibly elsewhere or a foreigner on ground as well.

Let's see how things go, but right now it's really messy, I think the boys are beginning with the soft targets and government should do something before they move offshore. Because imagine having an explosion on an FPSO that will be a disaster, unlIke land that can be easily contained with almost zero loss of lives.

Government act now, anything that makes these boys leave onshore and swamp to offshore becomes a global disaster.

Are there still pipelines left ? When they are through blowing it up, then wat next. Dialogue ? Or will they blow up their cloths and shoes ? If u will dialogue later after all these ddamages, then why not do that now. Declare a republic aalready , show ur intentions. You keep destroying infrasttructure and sending away oil firms. When u get autonomy if at all dats wats its about. Na oil una go drink belle go full ? Who is in charge of these people. We need his passport to attach on all dictionaries definition of a scallywag or buffoon. Depending on the edition

Most Niger Deltans are praising this guys now, BUT remember Northern Muslim were so quite when activities of Boko Haram started in the North. But today, they all feel the heat.

Its only a matter of time these guys will be declared as terrorists and then will start getting lawyers to claim their fundamental human rights. This is how Kanu got himself in. The cease fire approach by the govt is a trap these guys are not trying to avoid.

No matter the amount of weapons they possess they cannot overcome the govt in the long run, those supporting their evil actions and urging them on are their greatest enemies. we are watching.

You are not being sincere with your analysis.

the government ceasefire is not any tactics, they are totally clueless on how to engage them. We have not understood their modus operandi. its a terrain the military will have to study more to understand the wirings of the pipeline.

they withdrew because human casualties will be recorded if they persist and the NDA has not killed any civilian. If the military kills civillians in this cause, they will totally loose the support of the west and media.

currently the armed forces are clueless on how to tackle the issue.

the armed forces were also clueless in tackling boko haram initially but who is having the last laugh? truth is no one can never win any govt in a war no matter the amount of weapons and tactics they deploy. The NDA will be demystified in the long run as the govt is rather waiting since lots of folks are still emotional in their support for the NDA which will not last as the continue destruction will start irritating all and sundry very soon.

I have spoken to a few Niger Deltans with a view to pacifying few class mates I knew were mad those days.

they are resolved to continue.

the side of this crisis you are not looking at is that, youi need money to engage in any war and win. you need to buy arms either in cash or in exchange for crude oil.

these boys are grounding that. never forget it will take years to rebuild whatever they are destroying now.

Bokoharam war is totally different from this because there was money to fund the military, although Dasuki and co had a swell time.

the source of the money or crude is the Delta. Our chief enemy now is Iran. that nation doesn't forgive. If those boys ground the economy and get military hardware and support from Iran and other Shi'ite nations, It will be a long fight.

South Sudan (which had the oil) fought for their resource control for 17 years and UN had no option than carve them out for peace to reign.

A friend and I had this morning explored the Iran angle, my leanings as from the onset has been tending towards that and each attack makes it clearer. Government will not unmask/ triangulate any IP address as suggested by some. Their press releases seem like translated texts, they call the technical names of assets/facilities rather than locations and then wrongly spell the local names of these facilities, the bolded seems trivial but to me is the biggest pointer to something being run from outside.

Truth is the government doesn't yet know what it is up against, the oil companies have less than 10% of their production in Nigeria and will benefit greatly from rise in crude out there, Iran will increase her market share to pre sanction levels while settling scores with Nigeria and her Islamic coalition aspirations or ambitions.

Government should as a matter of urgency get the locals on their side by going the way of fiscal federalism.
Negotiations will not work at the moment because no body knows who these guys are, even the accused tompolo, mend general Africa and co are bewildered at the level these new kids are operating.

Nigeria has everything to gain, these boys have virtually nothing to lose. It's not enough for government to brandish an unfortunate electrician with wires and battery as an avenger coordinator.

Government can roll out their tanks to decimate communities, but truth is I doubt even the communities understand what is happening currently. Government doesn't understand so why should the common fisherman then understand what the powerful government doesn't understand.

Mankind amazes me, they struggle over tasks with even the most simple solutions.

Maybe we will all drown in this one, and the few survivors will then think in retrospect how stupid every one was at the time.

I was recently banned on this forum for mocking federal government's military crackdown in niger delta with war ships, gun boats, jet fighters and foot soldiers.

I recognize that Nairaland is a privately owned website, have a right to ban anybody at anytime but setting a bad precedent is not good for both the website operators, Nigeria government and people.

Our criticism and mocking of government is geared to put them on their toes. Government officials, politicians, DSS, etc all come to nairaland to gather opinion from common Nigerians and for intelligence gathering as well. They hear our voices, mockings, insults daily from Facebook, Twitter, online forums (eg nairaland) and try to amend their ways. Trying to shut up dissenting voices only embolden us the more.

On issue of Niger Delta Avengers, IPOB, it's only Nigerian government that designates these groups as criminal groups . While fulani herdsmen designated as fourth most dangerous terrorist group globally, it is treated with kids gloves by ruling government. Niger Delta Avengers may not be employing the nicest method to achieve their aim but they are constrained on other options. I will explain this further.

People have opined that they could have made their requests known peacefully instead of blowing their lands away. MASSOB, IPOB, etc have over the years peacefully asked for secession. What did they get? Military crackdown, extra judicial killing, unlawful detention. It's obvious you cannot get anything peacefully in Nigeria. If they have listened to previous agitators, at least these new guys would show face and not resort to pipeline bombing.

Others were of opinion that they should have used our senators, reps, governors. This is not possible. Reason being that by constitution, Nigeria is indivisible and elected officials have sworn to unity of the country. It is a tresonable offense. They will immediately be arrested by DSS if they mention anything about division of the country. It is now left for ordinary people to use international laws to achieve self determination.

After military invasion, what did they achieve? Nothing! Pipelines are still going up in flames even after unilateral declaration of ceasefire by Nigerian government.

The only solution that will avert total disintegration of Nigeria is amendment of 1999 constitution. Communities and regions need to control their lands and resources and pay tax to the center. This will bring unprecedented development to all regions and end oil dependency once and for all. We could operate as mini nations and leverage on our population. If Ogoni wants a Kingdom of their own , let them have it!

I have more details and road map to a successful Nigeria. Where the government refuses to listen to the people, count me out on a united Nigeria. Mods you can ban again till 2020 or delete my account completely. I stand by my opinions. I will continue to criticize and mock government whenever they fail.

Cheers

and south sudan is very peaceful now abi? Sir, I repeat the NDA can never win this war, Nigeria is not sudan or Central african republic. This country is bigger than what we think. Problem of some of you is that you think all the money Nigeria has is from oil, Nigeria is capable and even the International community knows that this country can prosecute the operations in the niger delta region without going broke like other african nations, it is the advise from the international community that is holding the govt back, but if the NDA operations begin to assume the dimension of boko haram where they start holding and claiming territories like boko haram, guy you will be first to beg the FG to allow peace to reign. The NDA threat level has not hit the roof yet whether Iran is involved or not,

why did all these not come up during GEJ's rule? These are all political rhetoric, how come we suddenly realized that the 1999 constitution need to be amended when PMB assumed power.

Lies, GEJ marginalized the yorubas in his administration, He pleaded with the yoruba obas that he will correct this if he is re-elected. You guys should stop this propaganda that Gej ran an inclusive govt, he favoured the ss and se fellows to the detriment of others, this is why the igbos are ready to die for GEJ as they were highly favoured to the detriment of others. This is the politics that is tearing us apart now as some fellows thought that the Christmas rice they were enjoying under GEJ must continue hence all these bombings with the issue of true federalism as a cover up to justify their criminal activities.

Not all of us are fools, we know all these is happening as a pay back to PMB hence the name the avengers. GEJ was a sectional leader who said the igbos were the backbone of his govt and called the sw rascals. have you forgotten the 'born throwaway children' appellation. Spread your lies elsewhere. GEJ was the most tribal bigot we had as President.
