The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, fdc, NPM, was in Enugu on 9th June, 2016 to commission the Police Post Retirement Housing Estate.



Personalities present at the commissioning ceremony: The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, IGP Ogbonna O.Onovo (rtd) CFR, OON, NPM, mni, in whom the estate was named after, the wife of the former IGP, the Chairman of Enugu State Council of traditional rulers, representative of the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Senior Police officers of the Command, members of the Inspectorate and Rank and File (mostly beneficiaries of the housing scheme) amongst other distinguished guests attended the epoch making ceremony in a grand style.

Yes the IGP is doing good works but he should also urgently work on Police barracks, some of which are dilapidated, filthy and not good for human habitation. Policemen are still living in them as they are e. g. New Bussa.

He promised to look into the welfare and promotion of the NPF and that he did. A promise we'll kept. Kudos to Arase

we just read and laugh it off,i think the hate comments about us hausas(northerners) are actually funny

People are dying and they are there doing non meaningful thing. The police force that have been killing innocent people.

The man tried, its a welcome development. He should try and fast track d welfare of the police officers. So far, he has been up to standard.
