Until every State start managing their resources and pay 5% of whatever they are generating to FG, we will never progress. With True federalism, all infrastructure within the State will be the sole responsibility of every State. Even police and Civil Defence will be taken care of by every State. FG will only care for infrastructure withing FCT, foreign affairs and other federal parastatal, military and other federal security agents like DSS, Custom, immigration and prison officers.

Basically you are saying America does not practice true federalism. You are confusing the backward and corrupt mentality of Nigeria with it's inability to practice true federalism. The only reason you think we don't practice true federalism is because of oil. Oil has completely corrupted the way Nigerian's perceive the meaning of federalism. States have the same powers as the center when it comes to sourcing for revenue and therein lies the problem. Every single Nigerian actually believes that the center exist to cater for them in this regard while the opposite is the truth. State governors and the people they lead don't know what the heck they are doing. States are supposed to generate their own income. America has the option to control all resources in every state but chose not to because they have corruption under control and have a good taxation policy. Until Nigerians change the way they think and do business, then Nigeria will never find it's way out of the rabbit hole they are in.

Dialogue no longer work in Nigeria. What happened to the ones we had in the past ? Nothing but increased hardship. Who knew Nigeria had the type of money Buhari is digging out now, yet Jonathan back then was saying Nigeria has no money. It is high time for mass protest. Until something big strike Nigeria leaders nothing will change. They will be up there stealing Money while they tell you to pray for the country.

I'm surprised with the type of laws the Senate and house of Representatives are making in this country.

There should be a law that once you can't pay your civil servants for 3 months, you should vacate the office.

You can't be owing workers for 6 months and still be threatening them. What is wrong with Nigerian politicians.

When the state was taking #9bn as monthly allocation, what did u do with the money? U implement contracts and projects that add no value to the lifes of the people. U embezzled the money by inflating contracts. Buying almost all the lands in ondo kingdom, building one of the best shopping mall in dubai, keeping money in foreign accounts. Arrant nonsense.

Also as someone who views the north as a strategic part of naija I can only wish ND goodluck as I urge edo to pair with the south west an north to remain part of naija.

Because believe me, NDA are canvassing for the wrong things.

First ask yourself why Mid-West was created out of South-West region. Midwest people voted overwhelming to go their own way. Led by Oba Akenzua II, Denis Osadebey and other leaders. It was the only legally & democratically created region/ State. Others were by colonial force or by military dictators.
Edo's future can never be with SW or Fulani,or ND or SE. If you're from Edo North and you feel religious ties with Northern & nearly half of SW people, then I see your perspective.

The only correct legal option is Bendel Republic if Nigeria breaks up. Because our fathers/mothers voted for MW/later called Bendel. We can form a confederation with another region if we wish.

The civil war was not caused by regionalism but by powerplay between majority tribes. It began with a North-SW fight. The North encouraged Akintola to scatter Awo's Action Group. Not done, they imposed State of emergency in SW, framed up Awolowo for coup treason and sent him to gulag. They feared Awo's smartness.

Totally appalled, young military officers, mostly Igbo & Midwest Igbo overthrew Northern-led government. Killing Balewa, Bello etc that orchestrated chaos in SW that was affecting Nigeria's stability. Bello was particularly disdainful of Southerners generally. Balewa was his boy.
Check video on youtube of Ahmadu Bello openly telling a British journalist that Southerners should not work in the Northern services freely.

Because coup leaders were mostly Igbo & Ironsi perceived to be lenient with them, Northerners began to massacre Igbo people in the North.

Fearing for safety, they were rushing to the East. Ojukwu & Gowon agreed conditions to avoid war in Aburi Ghana (Aburi Accord). When Gowon later reneged on them, war broke out.

ND folks believe they've been cheated by the larger tribes so I won't argue with their decision to control their resources and their destiny. Even if they'll choke under it, its their right and they should get it.

wrong. ibori in particular was fully supported by his kinsmen. the only reason he is in jail today is because he did his dirty business in the uk. otherwise, he too would be a free man and sponsoring miltants in delta state
