It is quite unfortunate that some people are still blindfolded about the corrupt and sharp practices of the past government. These set of people are the reasons Nigeria cannot move forward. Lets put sentiment apart and join hands in condemning those that are hell bent in destroying the country through corruption.
Nigeria will be great again, by God's grace!

DesChyko:
Yet you spend your time and data to get wind of his movements? The message he preaches about democracy, how does it concern a private organization? I hope This hate of yours will lead to your dreams in life because it will be shameful carrying it about and make no gain from it.

And who disgraced Jona? You? Who are you? Transparency International are saying one thing and you're saying another, where are your qualifications to rank corruption index? Where are the journal leading to your conclusions other than the one-liners you post here and there? You're just carrying traditional shekpe joint gossip about like a job seeker's CV. Don't face your current challenges.
1. You said countries invited him which was false and no serious and credible former president fraternizes with lame, inconsequential and redundant organizations.

2. Do we need transparent international to tell us that he was and still corrupt?

3. Do we need transparent international to tell us about the money he stole and gave to Dasuki to loot ans share?

4. Do we need transparent international to tell us about the money he stole and gave Metuh for special crooked and corrupt assignment as claimed by metuh himself.?

5. Do we need transparent international to tell us about the 100 million dollars he gave his oil minister to share for election rigging?

6. Do we need transparent international to tell us about his service chiefs looting our money while this useless, corrupt and incompetent Jona gave them national awards for looting us dry and buying mansions in abuja with our money?

7. Do we need transparent international to tell us his own cousin end up with our 40 million dollars?

8. Do we need transparent international to tell us how NIMASSA was looted dry by his cronies right under his nose.

9. Do we need transparent international to tell us that not jail a single corrupt character?

10. Do we need transparent international to tell us that according to the same crooked and corrupt jona, stealing was not corruption?

11. Do we need transparent international to tell us that we've recovered tens of billions from his cronies?

The sad, corrupt and pathetic list is endless

I know just like many crooked and corrupt politicians like Jona, we have many crooked and mentally corrupt followers who are in fact still suffering from effects of corruption.

How sad and pathetic.

I cant quote everything you wrote but l read it all. Permit me to take the liberty to annotate some areas in red-ink, as mini-responses to your analogy! The analogy was brilliant though....... and l was a "Library Prefect" too!! kiss

WriteBoy:
I was a prefect in my secondary school days. Prefects were required to maintain a log of some key school infrastructures. He took one look at the log and asked me:

What happened to this notebook
?” Your Principal "Asked Questions" ..... Buhari will "ask Questions" too!
“Water damage sir”
“have you asked anyone, who caused it?” Your Principal asked for an Investigation.... Buhari will investigate as well!
“Yes I have , and it seems that one of the corpers left an opened sachet of water on the shelf-top”. Your investigation, (as demanded by your Principal), yielded ANSWERS.... Buhari's investigation is yielding ANSWERS as well

“Well you are in charge of this particular notebook, so go and get a fresh notebook; copy this one out, and then you must it bring back to me.
Your Principal punished someone for the crime.... Criminals should also get punished for the crime of looting the treasury

this notebook is your responsibility, no matter who may have caused its present misery, it is you who are to make sure everything is all right” as an afterthought,
he added; “ I must have it before closing tomorrow” Your Principal gave you a "reasonable length of time to correct the problem caused by others..... Same way we must give Buhari a "reasonable amount of time" to correct the problems caused by Jonathan and his forty thieves.
“All right sir” I responded and quietly walked out of the office.

I fumed to the high heavens and cursed and whined; I was pissed at having to fix what some other person had through their negligence and irresponsibility spoilt. But still, I had no choice. I pulled an all-nighter and performed what was required of me.

Responsibility!

I love your analogy!

A few things stuck out like sore thumbs though:

1.) Responsibility: You told your Principal 'who' caused the problem, right?
Why did you not just keep quiet and "assume responsibility" for what you did not do........... as you people are asking of this Govt?
Those who dont know and cant analyse where they are coming from, cannot decipher where they are going and would probably end-up going round in circles"

2.) Your Principal gave you about two days to get a new Note and copy the contents back... and you said "Alright Sir".
Now, l am wondering what you would have said, if your Principal said "I am giving you one hour to get me another book with contents copied back"?
I bet you wont be the "silently fuming" Prefect, even if you are an 'S.U'.......... because he is asking you to do the "Impossibility".

This is what #Wailers are asking Buhari to do. Repair an economy that was critically damaged over a six year period when resources are awash (though commensurately looted!)... within ONE YEAR, when resources are almost non-existent?

3.) Agreed, People are suffering, food is costly, forex is down, e.t.c.

But let me use another analogy to explain whats going on:
Let' say a Child has an infected, ulcerated wound on his leg and it is causing him so much pain.
A "qualified" Nurse will not just apply bandage over the wound and say go home, it will heal by itself!
shocked
I said "qualified Nurse' because l know a few "next-door-Chemist" /Quacks who will do what as above! grin

*The Nurse would FIRST ask you "What was the cause of this injury (Snake bite? Dog bite? Nail puncture?) so as to ascertain how to proceed (This is the "Corruption investigation" end of the treatment)

*The Nurse remove all the dead tissues on and inside the wound (Very painful procedure!)

*The Nurse now cleans the wound with Iodine tincture (Now that thing pains person pass raw pepper! )

*The Nurse would then inject the surroundings of wounded area with Antibiotics. Probably another to the buttocks as well! (Again, no one likes the pain of injection...certainly not me! grin )

It is after the above Four steps have been taking, despite the fact that the sick person is riddled with "even more pain"... that we can expect the wound to heal safely! In other words, we have caused more pain, in other to heal a bigger pain (Amputation!)

We all know it takes less time to 'destroy'... than to 'build'.

As it is now, Nigerians are going through the "painful process" of treating the "infected, leg Ulcer" that Jonathan and his gang of "40 Robbers and Yam Eaters" left for us in 2015.

We knew a 'little bit' of what was going on back then, before the election ......and that is why we kicked him out and said "Never Again" to anything that smells like Jonathan........ but we never knew "the wound" was this bad and smelly, ...that they were just sharing our wealth at will and depleting our National Forex Reserve like there will be no-tomorrow!

They never did anything for the future (No building of refineries, No building of Power stations, Road were all bad, Hospitals became Morgues, e.t.c.
But we are now faced with the reality of a Nigeria that is like an odious, ulcerated leg: We either face "Amputation" if we maintain the status-qo (by retaining Jonathan and his looters) ...... or we allow the Nurse (Buhari and his team) to perform surgical Nursing on the wound...for a better tomorrow.
It is painful, would be painful and we all feel the pain but unlike #Wailers, some of us know that "after the rain comes sunshine"
.... this is a pain we MUST go through, if we are to emerge stronger and better.

Those who are "morally and mentally bankrupt" are WAILING ...leave the leg alone, dont clean it, the pain is too much, bla-bla-bla!
They are saying to the Nurse "Dont ask me any foolish question, just bandage my wound and l should be okay"! shocked
Such people just die untimely and suddenly!
If it took six years to destroy a nation, it will take more than that to fix it, it will be gradual and painful
....(We do hope the Govt puts a "human face" to it and not be like that 'No-nonsense Nurse' who pulls stuck bandage out of a wound without 'wetting it' first!).... but it will lead to healing eventually. It will lead to a better country.

As for those who brought us to this point, we owe it a duty to posterity to punish them severely (and the next Govt must also do same by punishing the "left-overs"wink since no sane person should expect this Govt to have the CAPACITY to punish all looters since independence, for a "fantastically corrupt" country (#David Cameron)
When Trees fall on Each other, it is the TOP-MOST ONE, that we start removing FIRST!
- Yoruba Proverb!

This Govt will start the corruption fight, on those who looted our Yams, in the immediate past dispensation of Jonathan.
Tribalist, SaTANoids, #Wailers, IPADS, e.t.c ....can take a dive where sharks live! tongue tongue

The ignorance of Nigerians like you "beggars-belief"! shocked shocked

No long story but this is how CORRUPTION works:

- You loot enough money while in office
- You use a small chunk of the loot to hire people of 'no-conscience' for Propaganda war! (Read: SaTANoids, #Wailers, Tribalist, e.t.c)
- These SaTANoids go about publishing fake, concocted and manipulated stories that eulogise you, all over the public space
- Using some of these TANoids as agents, they contact jobless Nigerians and their equally fake accomplices in foreign lands, offer to give them money to "organise a Lecture" for their principal to come and speak on anything but corruption!
- The Looter goes on microphone, just as Jonathan has been doing all over the place, first thanking the "whole world" who begged him to just come and speak for 5mins (claiming they will faint if he doesn't deliver the lecture! grin )
- Then the Yam Eater goes about "telling them what they want to hear" and eulogising himself!

ITS A SCAM! At the end of the day, everyone is HAPPY.
Looter gets a platform to praise-sing himself ..... and the boys like you get some money to solve your immediate problems.

I hope we all still remember how Mama Piss was shouting "Digital! Digital!! Dii-giiii-taaal!!!" grin all over the place when Jonathan released money, a day after the election was postponed..... ostensibly for "Digitalization of the Radio/TV stations, including Channels TV? When in actual fact the money was to "buy Propaganda" from them since Nigeria has funded the Digitalization of its National Media over and over again! ...
....and how is it Federal Govt business", to be funding the Digitalization of PRIVATE Media/TV stations like Channels TV?

Ofcourse, we all know now that it is just "filthy propaganda lucre" of the Jonathan "come-and-chop" syndrome.

The Guardian led by its owner Mr. Obiaghena recently refunded their share of the "Digital YAMS" Mama Piss was referring to, in that mad outburst! ditto AIT and many more like that
grin

Look, l know Nairaland is not a platform to have intelligent and deep-seated discussions because most of the posters are juvenile, 'awaiting result ranters' who bask in ignorance, whose brain are beclouded with tribalism and who are plain silly.... but then, we owe it a duty to 'chip-in', once in awhile because "A lie told so-often, may assume an air of truth"

Carry-go, una hear... nothing do una. grin wink

I thought you make a living defending obviously crooked and corrupt people hence quoting transparency international instead of facts on the ground in your own country.

Since he had no reservations to use the term 'Wailing Wailers', I will not hesitate to return the favour.

Zombies should get a grip on reality and stop grasping nonexistent braces like a desperate drowning man. Jonathan goes about giving lectures; yeah. The countries that invited him for these are much better and comfortable than our economy and they fail to see him like Zombies do, why do you find it difficult to live with that? These countries are far wiser than Nigeria and your hate will not stop them from learning what they should from whom they perceive to be a wonderful example.
And perhaps on the other hand, the wise countries are inviting him to prove his stewpiidity as he's doing in regards to the situation on ground! The op sees it, a lot of other zombies see it but it's beyond the knowledge of the average wailer! Do I blame you? Capital no! A day of reckoning will soon come. You and you 77 oafs need to reread that review again and understand the technical issues involved. My 2 cents!

Every government in Nigeria had always been corrupt. All, without exemption. That the APC chose Jonathan and only the past administration to vilify and punish is a clear continuation of Nigerians problem.

A man from the north can commit an offence and go Scotland free, a man from the south will commit same offence and go to jail with hard labor. That is the impunity bred during and after the civil war. An impunity that saw winners of the civil war divide war spoils like them oil wells while the indigenous people suffer.

APC should beg Jonathan for some advice on good governance because right now, they are just beating about the bush.

President Muhammadu Buhari said fighting corruption would be his top priority.
