When they were shouting Buhari banned 41 imported goods, I thought they are something that are indispensable and without substitutes. Perhaps some need to import brains to replaced the damaged one they are carrying about. SMH

Are you surprised?
Let's understand the gravity of nigeria's problems-
We have the highest cost of production per barrel of crude IN THE WORLD.
Why?
We have the highest building and road/rail construction costs in africa.
Why?
Unless your factory has an independent power source, once you rely on diesel gens your production costs WILL ALWAYS BE HIGHER than imports.
Why would we then be shocked that we still import toothpicks?!
Cheap power is THE ONLY WAY TO DIVERSIFY THE ECONOMY. Everything else is secondary.
