So because of the oil exploration we should endanger our innocent youths by sending them to the militants Headquarters?

Are their no other peaceful oil producing communities in the ND that can host that school?
What do say about the northern region that is nearly 100% hostile ?

Get your facts right.
what about Federal university of petroleum resources, effurun.warri(FUPRE)?militants don't have the time of innocent citizens.they only go after oil facilities and the FG
Re: Ibe Kachikwu Visits Maritime University Site Today by OGGS2000: 6:35am On Jun 17, 2016
But Oil from there is not hostile! it is safe and convenient to invest to exploit the oil there but not to put down any developmental project for them. Why not your peaceful village.

Alphaoscar:
The real problem with this school is that Gbaramotu is too hostile to host a federal university.

That school will be the first point of attack by the militants and even the products of that school will mostly end up as cultist and militants.

I know most people will not agree with this but a more peaceful environment within the Niger Delta like Akwa-Ibom , Rivers or so will be more suitable for that university.

They can build the university but should ensure the buildings are standard. They should also ensure the land dispute between the Itsekiri and Ijaw people are resolved.

Chai sorry for u. Do u knw development reduces insecurity? If ur checked properly u are a cultists too. A lonely road will likely create room for robbery but if d road is tarred 'n develops with businesses around, the road become safer. Food for thought
Re: Ibe Kachikwu Visits Maritime University Site Today by karcan: 8:14am On Jun 17, 2016
why is it that when comes to drilling oil Gbaramotu is not hostile but when it has to do with development of these communities they say they are unsafe and hostile.

This is what is expected of any listening government. However, the followers (gbaramatu people) must cooperate in bringing the culprits to book. We must all say No No to economic saboteurs, criminals and sea pirates. I can see a government willing to transform and change this region with genuine plans unlike what our Son and Hero did (lol).
You mean they should cooperate to bring to book, your so called "economic saboteurs, criminals and sea pirates," who made you recognize their existence? huh huh huh

I respect Ibe Kachikwu a lot. If he contest for President, I will vote for him. This is a good move in bringing peace to Niger Delta. Unlike the foolish Rotimi Ameachi who is against his own people. The day he will set his foot on Gbaramatu, I pity for him. But these villagers na wa o. All of them putting on bathroom slippers grin grin

U open ur mouth and say rubbish. The school he went to was masterminded by who?
It was masterminded by GEJ with alot of corruption, you need to understand why the present government need to suspended it. A whopping sum of 11 Billion Naira was used to pay the owners of the land where the school is being built as claim by our Hero of corruption. That money is even too much to build the university to an international standard.
