I was expecting you to write an epistle calling for Buhari's resignation for hiring 13 SANs and other ten Lawyers to appeal why he shouldn't show his certificate but as expected, hypocrisy and bigotry is your middle name.

It is unfortunate and annoying that the US (with all its investigative skills) would not give substantive evidence that the Lawmakers actually committed the offences. I have 4 questions to ask:

1. Didn't the house keeper state the Room Number the lawmaker grabbed her so that the occupant of the Room can be verified?
2 Isn't there any CCTV footage that shows when the other two law makers were discussing with the parking lot attendant?
3. Why didnt the Hotel Management interrogate the Lawmakers immediately after the allegations or at least before they left the US?
4. Why would the Lawmakers be identified only from a group picture? Couldn't there have been a possibility of mistaken identity?

These Lawmakers represent us and have families. They deserve to be given fair hearing. Unfortunately, most Nigerians will crucify first before verifying the truth of the story and that's happening already. smh

Diplomatic Immunity. Only the government has a right to question the lawmakers, not the hotel management. Nigeria also doesn't have immediate extradition (Senator Buruji fought his in the courts) so even if the lawmakers were caught, once they go to even the Nigerian embassy in Texas or Washington D.C. they are on Nigerian soil and cannot be subjected to U.S. laws. If there's CCTV evidence and witness evidence (and there must likely is), you cannot charge a crime to the lawmakers (because of reasons stated above) so why release it publicly? This should only be a matter between the U.S. govt and Nigerian govt. This is also Election year in the U.S. their govt officials have to look tough on crimes because their new President will want to choose her/his own new set of people to give jobs to. If they had kept quiet and hushed it, maybe the hotel staff would have sold the story to some tabloid and it will hit mainstream news and someone like Trump (who is very inflamatory and anti-immigration and lousy foreign policy) will quickly pick it up and say "you see how lousy Obama and the Democrats are? They allow even Muslim countries like Nigeria, with all their Boko Haram problems, to harass innocent American women and cover up crimes on U.S. soil. Don't vote Clinton!". Do you really want Nigeria to be part of the dirty politicking going on around this very vicious U.S. elections?

The police cannot step in because of that Diplomatic Immunity so they had to go through U.S. Dept. Of State. The sensible thing would have been to quietly let lawmakers step down (Strauss-Kahn did). But this is Nigeria we are talking about, no-one who has done worse and been shamed even more publicly cares.
