Unfortunately, flood is no respecter of any land. I built on a land pretty close to where limestone is found. Im sure you'll understand that's no waterlogged but lack of good layout, drainage plan, good roads, flood protection, and uncontrolled activities of earth pond fishermen has turned my zone to a flood zone so I no even wait to see it come before I implement all the fix I can think of. I no dey talk or blame the seller of the land or organize pity parties.

So, the best form of control is to Stop The Water. This is not the Israelite journey where Red Sea was parted with a rod.

stay away from water romancing areas is the best solution.

Each time I see cheap land advert in lekki axis, the fear of water do scare my ass. hello! I am a low ball nigga who gat no cash to spend on raft/pile foundation and millions of naira to deal with water during raining season.

There are more intelligent ones out there now. They have an auto/on/off settings.

Those are the only switches that I'll have on my builds as it'll conserve battery power.

yes we have them....it's a security light really

Makes sense.
I am surprised it's not widely used here.
I am sure most security lights will benefit from motion sensor lights.
