This has persisted since my sister bought the phone last year. I don't know what is wrong, it recognizes other simcards on sim1 except mtn. She's currently using her mtn line on sim2 which is for 2G only. Please gurus in the house, help us out o

dial *#06# to check d imei,imei's are written at the back of all phones,copy it out nd input it into the phone through mtk engeneer or mobileuncle

I have the phone pack with the two IMEIs written on it, one ends with 8 and the other 9. Must the phone be rooted before I do this sir??
Can you help me with the process, I don't want to brick her phone
