Fans went berserk at the Agege Stadium after Shooting Stars beat MFM FC 1-0 in a Match Day 23 fixture played on Sunday evening. Shooting Stars had shocked MFM with a dying minutes goal at the 83rd minute by new signing, Ebitimi Agogo to break their home invincibility record! The referees had to run for cover after enduring some blows and it took the intervention of the NFF President, Amaju Pinnicks and other top football functionaries before normalcy returned and play resumed. It does not, really. It does not happen in the USA for example....largely because in the US....stadiums are built to be as family friendly as possible.

A lesson the English learned....and used to end hooliganism in their stadiums (which used to be a serious problem in the 1980's by the way...and which has been curbed...which is why violence affecting English fans happens outside the country).
