Post utme scraping is a big mistake made by the federal government. . I don't have much to say but to highlight three major reasons why it is not good..

it will encourage more corruption in the educational sector
The federal government said that through the scraping of post utme the rate of corruption will reduce, but with this scraping corruption will increase. Let's take for instance a student score 230 in jamb all what will happen next is for the person to pay a huge sum of money to the school board and you that score high in jamb is on the boarder to be deported to your home because admission is not sure for you. And by so doing the money that the FG doesn't want this people to have they will be raking in twice the amount they have been getting before.

dull candidates will be offered admission
In this situation unwanted candidates will be given admission. Something happened in University of Ibadan some years back, a guy scored 285 in jamb and in his ssce result he has about 3A, 2B and the rest are credit, when he went for post utme it was oral and with your ssce result. What disqualified this gentle man was that he cannot distinguish between legislative and judiciary, and as an art student going for masscom. some people that sat for jamb and scores high scored it base on luck, if call to reseat for it is another problem on the person. if at all the admission is given that person will be on the verge of going home later with nothing.

it really help
In this aspect it made me remember when my brother sat for his Jamb he scored low but reach the cut off mark of Abu Zaria, to study pharmacy but on his own he lost hope about to change institution and course, but my mum stood on her that she want him to go to Abu, luckily for my brother he scored 265 in the post utme. and that is how we have pharmacist in my family. If not for post utme no admission for him because students that scored 300, 270 and 240 cannot be there and him that scored 219 will be given admission.

Bonus
Only the rich will get admission, because they will use money and buy there way in and the less privileged will be told to come another year.

Will this few point, my fellow nairalander it is a big mistake to scrap post utme.

whether scrap or not some people ll benefit.we cannot depend on jamb bcuz of irregularity, scamdality and not ve enough facilities to conduct an undisputed exam and post jamb is a fraud,a school ll 60k aspirants and sell the form for 5k,in which dere re ways to screen out students.my extrapolation is this, let all the agents cum students restructure jamb to conduct free and fair exam and dat ll be the only way to be admitted.i think dis ll make student to prepared well for jamb
