The irony is that it's you,the igbos who are more Nigerian than any of us,your people are everywhere.and also your people have lived, worked and prospered everywhere all over nigeria.a fact which you people like to ignore is...after the civil war, your people were welcomed to every nook and crany of nigeria.now the question you should ask yourself is if your people are ready to return to Biafra willingly or forcefully if it ever comes. I believed therein lies your answer.

All this your " your people are here and your people are there " ranting doesn't answer the question.

so, since they are everywhere, how come they want a state of their own?

ask yourself this : why do this people want to stay on their own?

They said that Igbos are thieves, drugs dealers, ritualists, fraudsters, non-contributors to national income while flooding the nigeria market with substandard goods.

Despite these, they are ready to go to war than to allow Igbos go. They say igbos constitute nuisance to the nigerian state and yet, they will rather die than let igbos go.

Honestly I don't understand these people at all.

That is not the issue here.

My question is why is a call for our own country a call for war?

Why??

Biafra is dead and buried. We will resist secession by any groups with the best weapons in the Nigerian armory. To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done. No group of terrorist groups like IPOB, Avengers and massob will be allowed to destabilize our great nation. Lord luggard saw the potentials in our diversity before merging us together with the north. We shall remain with the north to build this country. It's a decision we have taken in the south west and one of the reasons the igbos will never go anywhere. Nnamdi kanu is in deep shiitt for preaching hate against the state. He will be lucky to get a life imprisonment. How can igbos demand biafra when they are the most traveled tribe and more Nigerian than other tribes? They are virtually in every part of thr country doing business and benefitting from the nation's unity. No sane igbo man will even think of secession because they gain alot in this union. Concerning political power the north will keep dominating because the British handed power to them before leaving. The igbos need to work with other parts of the country to produce president. Not by blackmail or demanding seccession. Biafra will never come in Jesus name angry

I think that's what you should ask yourself.how come people who want to leave to somewhere are the same people going everywhere?

People don't know your motives, and it wasn't helped by the people fronting for the cause. Your elders also didn't tell them to take it easy.the fault lies with you people.get the referendum and I bet no one would make trouble.months ago on nairaland before the kanu guy was arrested, many of your brothers and sisters were not interested in referendum, they wanted war because somehow they believed kanu has far superior soldiers and military equipments.sadly u were proly not a member or you were asleep to caution them.

I stopped reading when I saw lord luggard saw our diversity. My friend, are you a slave to the white man? I detest people like you. The UK took a very strong decision to protect the interest of their citizens and you are here talking about lord luggard. Is he a yoruba man? Igbo man? Please stop this slave and colonial mentality is nauseating.

Biafra exit from Nigeria will pose a serious regional problem in Nigeria and will result to outright collapse of Nigeria, Igbos act as bridge that is stabilizing Nigeria both economically and religiously, if Igbos and Niger Deltans pull out of Nigeria the Western Nigeria have no other option than to pull out in other to secure their people from outright dominance from majority Northern muslims and middle belt minority group may start fighting against Fulani dominance and that will result into balkanization of Nigeria into more than 5 countries, that is why other Nigerians don't want Igbos exit, the consequences will be severe. I still believe in one restructured Nigeria, where Presidency will rotate among the six geopolitical zones and the North to drop their occupation of Nigeria and born to rule policy.
Then are we expected to stay with people that hates us passionately, they Kill our people when they protest peacefully and protect their people when they kill violently, are we to stay with one Nigeria when yorubas and Hausas sees us as less humans, are we to stay with Nigeria when buhari sees us as 5% and marginalizes us to the cheering of Fulani and yorubas? I don't like Nnamdi Kalu's manner of freedom as he delights in insulting others especially yorubas, But one thing is sure every Igbo has this spirit of biafra running in us, BIAFRA MUST COME GOD WILLING. Nnamdi Kalu may or may not bring it because of his kind of hates utterances

When you hear the word Biafra the first thing that should come to anyone's mind is Nigeria-Biafra war of 1967-70. When you hear folks say '2016 is not 1967'are they talking peaceful separation? Go and read the history of secession even in Europe most are through war. It's just that civilization has reached the West but in Africa we are still underdeveloped. Both the Nigerian state and Biafrans are calling for war. And the wise knows that nothing good will come out of war.
