Cassper Nyovest’s latest appearance on a US radio show, Sway in the Morning, has sparked a funny reaction from Twitter users who are baffled by the rapper’s self-acclaimed title as the "Kanye West of South Africa".

Nyovest was invited to perform on Sway Calloway's show on Wednesday and received some well-deserved praise and congratulations from his fans and American’s listening in on the show.

On the segment, Nyovest is inundated with questions by Sway about American influences on SA hip-hop.
Asked how important America is to South African hip-hop artists, Nyovest says America is like our home. We admire America so much, well the hip-hop culture there.

He adds: A compliment in South Africa, like they call me the Kanye West of South Africa… in terms of creativity and pushing boundaries and just being and individual.
