After subscribing to Airtel N200 for 2G and it expired 12am today morning, I subscribed to airtel blackberry 3G for N1000 on my android and it's no longer browsing.
If you are subscribing to the new airtel N200 for 2G & 5G, it's better for you to stop because it's as if the cheap N200 for 2G is only an airtel plan to block your Android from using Airtel 3G for N1000 on your Android phone.
Airtel has now become a useless network.

You should have wait for the 2G plan to expire before subscribing cos that 2G plan will block any 3G plan.

IMEI tweaking is illegal fam. Airtel categorically stated that the 1k 3gb plan is for blackberry devices ONLY. So that they blocked it isn't any fault of theirs. Blame yourself bro.

There's no fraud there. It was in this thread that someone said the N200 for 2G was only possible on 2g network. Moreover 3G for N1,000 is exclusive to bb phones so there's no fraud there. Most persons saw the offer and didn't Opt in because of condition attached to it

First of all, tweaking your imei is illegal. Secondly the Airtel 3G for N1,000 is exclusive to bb phones only. Thirdly 2G for N200 works on 2g network .From your complain, you're at fault for subscribing to 3G plan even when you know it's a bb plan. That you tweak your Android imei to bb and it worked doesn't mean it would continue to work. Those guys weren't foolish when they restrict the data plan to bb phones. The best you can do is to ask for refund then transfer your airtime to another sim

Don't mind all these guys blaming you, they don't know anything. I do the BB package you are talking about and I was recently tempted to subscribe for the 2g shit and it's all regrets. Try changing your IMEI to blackberry.com, change your IMEI to a BB10 IMEI, not just ordinary BB. Try sending Deactivate to 440. If all these do not work then we're in serious trouble.

That Airtel 2G sub is what I am making use of even as I post this and I download with it at a considerable pace using UC browser.

I don't know what you guys are saying.i have almost exhausted my 2gb.its remaining less than 200mb and mine is going to expire on the 2 8th of this month.i usually do downloading of movies between the early hours of the morning between 1-6 am.aside this time,downloading anything is unpredictably slow.as a matter of fact,i am posting this with the remaining 200mb and the speed is average.

Am I stupid to tell the customer care provider I tweak my IMEI? Even I intended telling them so before I would've said such when I complained about the 2G Pack not working the customer care provider was already telling me that he's seeing my android device and noticed the 3GB N1000 wasn't working on my device.

The 3gig for N1,000 doesn't work in all devices that it worked for you doesn't mean It Work for all.

guy, bb complete, 1000 for 3gb is exclusively for legacy device only....and if u tweak ur imei, e no work for u, na ur prob b dat cos Airtel never stated that if u tweak ur imei to dat of legacy bb u can use it. get ur facts right....nd its common sense (#no offence intended) 2g can b slow and frustrating at times, we al know, d problem here is people can b greedy sometimes. always looking for cheap things. This 2g data is stil new, u cant expect something to come out and b perfect immediately, it takes time
