Do you know that, by international security standards, you are not allowed to exit the plane by your own initiatives once you have boarded?

Under normal international Aviation protocols, the security agencies need to be called in, you will be interviewed by the security and maybe detained and they will also sweep the Airplane again to make sure you did not enter, plant some explosive and want to checkout before the Plane hits the air.

Similarly, if you check-in your bags and did not show up at the gate to enter the plane, they suppose to remove your bags before the Plane hits the air.

In the above two scenarios, you would have made your point, but you will attract the wrath of the authorities and that of your fellow passengers for delaying their flights.

Mention any newer aircraft that you know in naija that outclassed this particular plane. The cover panel for that wiring might have been kicked out by rough passenger or so. Even as the old as those ARIK aircrafts could be, the precious Emirates flight or BA is still it's ancestor in terms of age.

Honestly I don't see any danger here. The tape was used to insulate the wires. I was expecting to see a bunch of unmanageable wires.

The last Arik flight I took was smelling of human faeces from where I sat .I refused to take anything cos of the smell emanating from the toilet.Abeg make them try upgrade

What they need to do is do some proper cleaning after every flight like other airlines do. Check for stains, change the interior fabric also check that all the entertainment systems are working and all wiring are in place. They also need some manager to double check. This is just the basic standards. It is not a nice feeling to be sitting closed to a blocked smelly toilet or the fabric of your seat smelling of vomit.

May look like duct tape but could actually be some shrink tubing which is suitable for that kind of cable protection.
