Mehn! I can't think straight. We started out the EFCC graduate cadre aptitude test at 11PM and finished at 12AM. I wanted to go home, but decided to sleep over. We're all tired and worn out. The test was kinda easy for some of us, but the punishment they gave us made us to lose concentration. I have not eaten since morning and my body is so itchy right now. I wish the day will break fast.

Do they use the exam scripts to shortlist successful applicants or they just picked randomly and dump the answer scripts?

this is wrong! Just because people are job seekers doesn't mean they should be treated that badly. No wonder Nigerians come out and find it difficult to stand up to their white colleagues not to talk of bosses. Slave mentality

I think it was deliberate. I was there last night and the guys finished around that 12am as op said. But sitting for an Efcc exam shouldn't be a straight forward thing by my calculation. Stuffs like this tests ones preparedness for the job.
I hear it was same in Lagos centre.

They deliberately conducted the exam at that odd hour to wear them out.Meanwhile,they have arranged an expo for their godchildren in an ac room.

Where you slept was a rivers state govt property not Efcc office. The much I know is that the Obi Wali Oil and Gas conference centre has enough bathrooms where u could have washed. Hope the mosquitoes ddnt feast on you so much. This is just one of those things you face on your way to the top. Congrats in advance bro.

it doubles as endurance test.

Point of correction EFCC is not a military outfit. They should stop the gangsterism they are up to. There are other investigative outfit throughout the world and they don't behave in a commando or embarrassing way they have been doing. They are just like another police outfit. Saraki them no fit convict just harassing opponents of the incumbent.

lady, its standard procedure world-wide to test military and paramilitary agency recruits the same way.it's a test of endurance my dear..

if you hear stories of the FBI recruit training you will weep..

and to add to it,the EFCC is a paramilitary organisation, they even use guns as well.

If one cannot withstand that simple pressure he cannot be in EFCC, and what is the strenous condition in being kept late for test? They are only testing their endurance. Real test will come at the training school those that cannot cope will be weeded out.

and to add to it,the EFCC is a paramilitary organisation, they even use guns as well.

i i might be wrong they aren't paramilitary.but you know they conduct raids ,sometimes without police escort.. I have also seen EFCC officials with guns..
You also know they deal with intelligence work.. Doesn't that mean they should have some form of hardened training? not as hard as the military anyways.

BTW, I've experienced an EFCC raid in my place..I know what I'm saying.

That is part of the test, receive sense. So if you had to wait out a suspect till day break what will you now say? I was once asked to attend an interview at the 4th roundabout (lekki) by 7am, coming from the mainland, I knew the ploy and I wanted that job so I slept at a hotel close to the venue and was at the gate to sign my arrival at 6am, I was shortlisted and went as far as seeing the President of the company, but we did not agree on terms and conditions.

My point? the timing and stress associated with that test and the subsequent interview which may follow will all go to the root of the matter, so better brace up.

EFCC is actually a breakaway arm of the Police Force. To that extent it is a para-military institution, same way as NSDC (or whatever they call those ones). They all carry guns, at least in a limited capacity and they need endurance training and assessment because their job is also peculiar. They effect arrests, they interview suspects, they help prosecute, and guess what, police does all of these too.

It is just like you saying the NFIU or SFU are not aspects of the Police Force because you know little or nothing about them, whereas the regular Police personnel will give his little finger to join those arms. That is where the accused beg them to collect bribes in millions not in N20 notes. I said, accused is begging that they should collect money, not them asking you to bring money, you still never understand?
