Saraki is being played by smart lawyers who saw his desperation for power and choose to keep deceiving him that he should hold on to power in the face of flagrant abuse of the office of the Senate President going by many incriminating legal issues dangling around his neck like 22-carat gold chain. The fact is, they need Saraki to spend more and more before sending him to gaol.
The same way u think he wont last for 1month when the CCT case started back then , but where is the CCT case heading to now? i guess u know the answer , deal with it SARAKI will remain the senate president for 4years

But Buhari, in the document titled, ‘I pledge to Nigeria’ had also said that all his political appointees would only earn salaries and allowances as prescribed by the Revenue and Mobilisation and Fiscal Allocation Commission.

He said, “I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liabilities, encourage all my appointees publicly declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment. All political appointees will only earn the salaries and allowances determined by the RMFAC. I pledge, as Commander-in-Chief, to lead from the front and not behind in the comfort and security of Aso Rock, to boost the morale of fighting forces and the generality of all Nigerians.”

I would have ignored you but I just wanted you to know that David Mark is a genus. David Mark belong to a class of his own. I like Ekweremadu but he was never the stabilizing factor behind senator Mark. I envy his style of leadership, he's a rare gem.

Saraki is a confirmed thief and it did not just start in 2015. He has been a thief far back yet he contested under APC and was voted into power. Can APC leaders and the electorate that voted him swear that they didn't know saraki is a thief?
Anyway, in a sane society, saraki shouldn't even be a local govt chairman not to talk of being a senator.
Since we are not in a sane society, why should he resign?
In a sane society, will the president hire SANs to defend his certificate case instead of just presenting it and clearing all doubt?
Infact both should just resign immediately, fraudulent leaders.

Well you may be right that Saraki despised party supremacy and can not rightly expect the party to come to his support, but can this party not move on and do something else.

Sir, in addition to "despising" party supremacy, and more importantly, he is alleged to have committed forgery in the process. He is not above the law and should be given the opportunity to defend himself. He can save himself, family, and the country, a lot of embarrassment and ridicule, if he resigns now.

HELL NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

WHAT FORGERY ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT

Saraki and His deputy are going nowhere until 2019 if not even more.

Saraki sin is not forgery but for blocking the Lagos Lord and "Mr ear infection Nigeria Saul" from putting Nigeria in a polar line of religion secret undertaken and also seen Ekeremadu as a threat is their anger and not any forgery, as a matter of fact Saraki committed no forgery neither Ekeremadu. If people like Atiku, Tinubu, Amaechi and all runaway governor are no longer corrupt then Saraki comit no offense neither Ekeremadu take it or leave it.

Saraki must not and never resign. Thief is thief since other thieves and criminal are now saint then the Fed govt has no moral status to challenge anybody who did wrong. Let the game keep going that way. Since Buhari could be disobeying court orders and be playing one sided corruption fight please let the lawlessness carry on.

SARAKI MUST STAY TO FINSH HIS TERM WITH EKEREMADU, Lagos Lord like it or not he can do his worst.

In as much as I aligned with your intent of functionality of separation of power in democratic setting,it is also germane that he who wants to go into equity must go with clean hand; therefore this crop of 8th senate can not play proper oversight function because the course of the masses is not even in their mind considering how they padded the budget with selfish interest and purchasing of Landcruisher jeep against public outcry at inflated price of 20m difference (market value17m to 37m) disqualifies them of putting any other organ of nigeria government on her toes.
Also it is a fact that there was a petition from members of senate intimating police that there was alteration in senate standing rules which police acted upon before involving the executive hence it is not the executive that did aproko on anomally in the senate. Get your facts right!

Must we go to court? Why cant the senate just impeach him if actually there was forgery? There seem to be a sinister move to silence the legislature even though I ve never been a fan of the hallowed chambers. We have too many things demanding speedy attention and not these back and forth court procedings.

This is tantamount to accusing directors of a company of forging the memorandum and article of the company. If a company, at a general meeting, says this is our article, so be it. It does not matter if one or two members say they don’t agree with the Standing Orders. This is a case where the Senate has absolute supremacy. Prosecuting the leader of the Senate is like prosecuting the entire Senate; there is no supervisory body over its activities and whatever happens at the Senate. It is a matter in which the Senate is supreme. Can anybody say no to whatever the Senate calls its Standing Orders.

===== first of all Bros chucks. The Senate is not anyone's father's company. It's the power house of a nation so yes, when things look wrong or feel wrong. Questions should be asked. They were elected to those positions. It's not an inheritance =====

people have even forgotten that even during Jonathan regime saraki had a case with the anti fraud unit . Was he a senate president then? The Panama link is also there, is he because is a senate president?
Saraki is not fit to be the Senate president. He was the leader of the cabal that hijacked yaradua government as chairman of governors forum that prevented Jonathan from acting. He has also constitute himself as a government withing the kwara state government, Governor Abdul Fatai Ahmed is a regent to Saraki.
