Well....If it isn't recognized by the outside world.....isn't it a waste of time? I mean....There're tons of globally acclaimed literary works out there waiting to be read....Why not devote ur reading time to something meaningful....How many Shakespearean works have u read from cover to cover? I mean, not as school work, but as leisure? Have u read all Soyinka's books? Achebe's ? No? and yet u still find time to read some Experimental works?

I hope u get my point now? Go for the real thing....leave the Irrelevant stuff.

Well, some of the so-called 'globally-acclaimed' works are still not as great as some unpopular ones. The fact that Soyinka and Achebe were famous doesn't mean that there are no better writers than they.

I disagree with your claim that the fact that they're not yet popular makes them irrelevant. The writer of Fifty Shades of Grey began by posting on online blogs before becoming acclaimed.

Widen your scope, my brother. The whale is not the only fish in the ocean. There are great, great writers in the Literature Section. Awesome stories, too. I've read hundreds of those books you may call 'acclaimed', but some of them are still dumb. Check the works of good writers like Royver, Kayemjay, Repogirl, Ishilove, Vantee20, Whitemosquito, Princesa, PrettySpicey, AudreyTimms, Frank317, MaziOmenuko and so on.

They're good, no doubt...But...they should make it into a book...either e-book or paperback...it'll be cool... that's when I'll take 'em serious.... Even me...I'm a big fan of literature, but life's too short and time too precious to be spent anyhow. That's my opinion, signor, and u're entitled to yours.
