Marriage In Coma - Should He Pull The Plugs by RipeNready(op): 3:48pm On Jul 01, 2016
A mail came in yesterday from a man (A fellow Nairaland member at that) who made a request that I hook him up with a matured, decent and ready lady for an alter bound affair. In his mail, he narrated that his marriage is 8 years old and blessed with 3 children however, the marriage barely lasted 2 years before trouble started and ever since then, it has been in a total comatose. The last 4 years of the marriage has been without intimacy between the couples. At the moment, they are separated and the man has resolved to pull the plugs on the union as efforts to reunite the couple has yielded no positive result. Life must go on he said.

Should he pull the plugs on the marriage? Lets discus and also advice. He is obviously following.

What guarantees him that the next marriage won't be as bad as his current marriage should he pull the plugs?

what efforts has he made to make his marriage work out, from your write up he has already pulled the plug because you said he has asked you to hook him up with a new lady. My advise is that he takes a break from marriage and work on himself to ensure the mistakes he made in the previous marriage does not reoccur when he remarries.

Tell the man to seek knowledge.
He needs adequate knowledge to help pull off a successful marriage.
Getting him a ready to marry woman does not help him. The marriage will also crash if he refuses to update.

How will anyone give an advice when we don't know why their marriage went into coma?

Anyway, if their marriage can't be saved, he should note the mistakes he made in the present one and work on them before going into another, so we won't be hearing story again.

Good point. Its not all about hoping into another one, but figuring out why the 1st failed or went into coma as he said and working on self to avoid the same pitfall.
