I couldn't get someone to lease the house to at the price I got it. They always price it far lower than I paid for it.

It's better i give it out than accept price they are willing to give.

Houses in abuja are overHyped. my humble opinion.

The Nigerian real estate sector is messed up. Prices go up for no apparent reason. In Lekki, rooms not fit for chickens are leased for millions of naira. Let's not even mention the fact that you have to buy your own ship just to survive the raining season undecided

Nigerians are emotionally attached to real estate and corrupt politicians also helped in sky rocketing the prices of houses since they don't need to account for the funds they used in buying it. If the anti corruption campaign goes as planned, we should be expecting a crash in real estate prices.

But we have to still consider the emotional side of Nigerians towards real estate and the fact that in Nigeria, when prices go up, they stay there no matter what undecided

Bro,

I think houses in Lagos- Island or Mainland are generally cheaper to houses in abuja.

A self Contain in Wuse 2 going as high as 900,000Naira is no small joke.

Even this place at Gwarinpa, 750k is the rent. And in trying to lease it back people price it for 300k. This is a house with good kitchen cabinet. Pop Cielings, bath tub, hot water / cold water stand, borehole and nice surroundings.

Though I have to be honest things are not easy now. But the Hype surrounding houses in Abuja not worth it.

I still see good houses in lekki, property section for far lower price like 400 -550k. If am not mistaking aside the frequent lagos Go-slow and Toe Gate fee, i think lekki is better to Gwarinpa.

@TheNigerianRealEstate, i think the hype is much in Abuja as compared to other states.
Though Abuja is a serene city, where one can be in his right sense as compared to lagos. But I believe in the next 8years abuja will be another Lagos- I mean crowded like lagos.

@Corruption War, hehe!!
I have lost hope. let me stop here
