My BMW 528i alternator got failty due to leaking power steering oil. An electrician repaired it but i noticed that my battery still run down even with the alternator he has repaired. Please what could be the fault Is it that my battery is bad or the alternator is bad?

He repaired your alternator? Kindly go and get another alternator and have a piece of mind

just make sure ur alternator is producing electricity, by starting the engine and switching every component no, things like headlamps, ac, radio, power windows,all doors open, all at the same time and make sure none is sluggish and the headlamps and dome light are very bright and not dim. If they are fine then change the battery

Thanks to u all. I appreciate. I noticed that when I switch ON everything, they look bright because I charged the battery.....but after a while they turn dim

I removed the battery from the car and took it to a roadside battery charging shop. It was fully charged

normal a battery sign will come on by the dashboard meaning the alternator is not charging

Yes the abattery light is displayed on the dashboard

thats points to the alternator i suggest you change it
