BINTA Murtala Nyako, Justice of a Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out the names of former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Allison-Madueke and a businessman, Chief Kolawole Akanni Aluko, from the charges before the court.

While Alison-Madueke is in the United Kingdom, Aluko is said to be at large.

Justice Nyako struck out the names after the prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs SAN), made an application to that effect‎.

Alison-Madueke and Aluko are being tried alongside businessman, Babajide John Omokore,‎ over alleged crude oil fraud.
Omokore and three others are currently taking their ples before the court.

Her name was struck out to avoid delay in proceeding since she is not here to take her plea.

It's like you didn't read the news before commenting. Deziani's name and that of Aluko were struck out at the request of the prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs,because they are not in Nigeria at the moment. This is to avoid delaying the trial of the available suspects.
