If you are blessed and spend 24hrs under a full AC doesn't mean u should put tears in the eyes of a man who uses almost 16hrs under the sun to hawk in order to survive with his/her family, if u have power doesn't mean u should oppress the weak, if you can eat anything U like because you are rich doesn't mean u should pour sand sand inside one man's garri.. Buhari and his agents are making life miserable for nigerians. I wish the government knows that the heartbeat of a man can stop at anytime, whether good or bad once Ur heartbeat stops, you are gone.. Why put everyone into sufferness when u gather large for yourself and family and still want to take away the 5naira a common man is trying to gather for his feeding.. |

mmsen:Before one can even think about limiting the amount of children he/she should have. They must have be exposed to the concept of family planning. This is educational and also something you learn, it is not "intuitive". You see this as common sense because you 're already exposed to the topic and have refused to think outside of that small bubble you live in, which is the fact that most people are not exposed to this same concept which has to do with the How's and Why's of family planning. |
| Re: #lagoshawkerspolicy Trending On Twitter (tweets Screenshots) by mmsen: 1:18pm On Jul 05, 2016 |
Dudeweedlmao:Common sense is knowing that you cannot feed yourself and a family if you only have one pepper in your pantry. There are people in this world who cry about their hardship and poverty and then have children - will the children suddenly have plenty? Again, that is common sense. You are talking as if people who live in poverty are born without brains. They have as much reasoning ability as anyone. They make decisions that are good and some that are bad, the problem with having children (especially when poor) is that you cannot undo that decision. Once a child is born that is another mouth to feed, another drain on your time and energy. Are you claiming that because someone is born poor that they cannot reconcile with this reality? |

[quote author=halfricanadian post=47227297]OK LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT IF THEY ARE DISTURBING YOU. WHY DONT YOU OPEN SKILLS ACQUISTION CENTRES FOR THEM SO THEY CAN BE SKILLFULL EVEN IF THEY CANT HAWK.[/ There is a skill acquisition centre at every LGA in Lagos State and they are all FREEEEEEE. A token is handed over to each graduant on completion. That said, any hawker can go to any of the other 35states if hawking is their destiny. The Law is supreme |

mmsen:Nice comment boss. Most times I feel some of our people have a spill of shit in their brains.. They empathize on unemployment in the country, knowing fully well that majority of this hawkers re not educated. Majority don't even have homes, they sleep around.. So the hawkers should risk their lives on Highway just to survive.. Common guys utilize this brain now... |

Gov. Ambode I salute ur courage considering the
fact that some of those arrested actually voted u
into power, but wat I cannot fathom is, in d
course of electioneering u promised this same
ppl better life, infact some of ur agents went
round every neighborhood in a bid to propagate
ur Excellency, they did that sharing all manners
of Greek gifts then, but presently Sir I don't know
if this idea or new policy is geared towards
improving anyone. Sir, its a brilliant idea but wat
provisions HV u made to cushion d effects of our
present CHANGI, i believe d major reason y u
find children hawking is simply because daddy and
mummy can no longer provide for d family,
possibly one of dem is currently downsized and
all that's left is solace in d arms of frustration.
Ppl must survive and for those ones u
incarcerated it's there only way of survival, or
would u prefer they survive via unscrupulous
means, like having a 13 yr prostituting and a boy
at dsame age joining other negative vices. Mr
Ambode I believe there are better ways of
keeping our children of d street, like pegging
school fee at a reasonable rate or better yet
subsidising education with every student entitled
to #100 breakfast or at break time, give
scholarships to students whose parents r
financially handicap. Sir let's learn from nature u
can't dam water forever it will one day break its
bank and find or forcefully creat a course for
itself and wen it does it comes with heavy
destruction. men must work its there only way of
surviving a draconian economy |

Owliver:why are you crying more than the beraved? Are you a street hawker too? Its for your own safety o. When lagos banned okada, the world didn't fall. Okada men found something else. People said worse when lagos banned Okada men. I don't need to drag anything with you Mr genius in human psychology.. Just get off the road so car will not kill you because you want to sell 5 naira pure water. |

Earth2Metahuman:shut up. I work as an engineer don't mean I shouldn't feel the pain of poor people. and for your information okada men are still plying highways here in Lagos. probably you are in illesa talking what you don't know. dummy |
| Re: #lagoshawkerspolicy Trending On Twitter (tweets Screenshots) by Nobody: 3:24pm On Jul 05, 2016 |
Last month 1 million boys ransacked traders of their belonging from Wema to Cardo street. They numbered up to 100 and many women lost their means of livelihood. No police nor Army stopped them. But because a hawker lost his life to kai officers, all u do is ban hawking cos u don't regard hawker as human beings that should get angry when one of theirs own is dead. Its unfair that We keep shouting corruption whereas poor masses are been denied access to livelihood. |

I'm a friend to a billionaire who hawked chin-chin and gala and later recharge cards around mile 2in the late nineties today he is one of the biggest distributor of Telecom products in Lagos. Ambode should review this law ASAP. |

Owliver:lmao pained flat head. If okada men are still plying highways, shouldn't your brain tell you they cannot completely reed lagos of street hawking? Well, I don't expect much from someone that has lost his sense in the sun after rigourous gala hawking. ![]() Engineer kosobe ![]() |
