The Ijodo tractor that is designed and built 100% in Nigeria by a young team of Engineers led by Terfa Addingi from Benue state has been unveiled by the Executive governor of Benue state, Dr. Samuel Ortom.

The governor was represented by Hon. Baba Acka, the speaker Nigeria House of Representatives Hon. Yakubu Dogara has also shown his support for the project as he tweeted:

Innovation at its peak

Now those in the South East can sell Innoson buses to Benue State and buy Ijodo tractor from them in exchange for their farms.
Aba people can export their shoes to Benue and buy food items from them.
This is why there is a clamour for regionalism, OYEL has made the country leaders very lazy.

Buhari should know by now that Nigeria's unity is negotiable and he should stop the OLD and TIRED mantra of One Nigeria. How many times has Obama used the word 'One America' or Cameron say 'One Britain' or Egyptian leader Al Sisi saying 'One Egypt'. When things are done rightly nobody will want to secede, 85% of current appointments have gone to only one region and that is nepotism which is a form of corruption.

Ibe Kachikwu has been demoted as GMD of NNPC contrary to the opinion of many conning people who claim that the chairmanship of the NNPC board is a bigger appointment, its like making the school Principal the new PTA chairman and telling the students that he is still in charge of the school or a Vice Chancellor of a University being 'promoted' to a Chancellor (normally given to Traditionally rulers) as chairman of the university board.

It is a fact that if a credible referendum is conducted today like was done in Scotland majority of us in the South East will vote to stay in Nigeria but under a negotiated nation that will not hold us down from achieving and exploring our talents like the Scottish and Britain did.

If not because of our greedy, headless, directionless, and clueless government over the years, Nigeria would have become a very great nation.


The most painful part is that is that this current government is without direction as usual.

All he just needs is to collabroate with a Nigerian indigenous company to make the thing properly.

He will make it big. The guy who started JCB (they are a company similar to Caterpillar)...started small like that.

This is indeed a wonderful thing. This is an opportunity for the likes of innoson to have a tractor brand...albeit in collaboration with the OEM. All in all, Nigeria has great minds. Let's keep them working for our good.

that is a good start for being a consumer of technology to producer of technology. this will surely give benue state back her lost glory of being the food basket of the nation. more blessing to the governor for enccourageing those that event this machine and more blessing to those that think outside the box to event thing that can be benefit to our state and Nigeria as a whole God Bless Nigeria.

Good innovation. At least it would spur the farming in the country. The only drawback am seeing is the rear tyres are not tractor tyres, if they are not changed and used in farmland, they would be getting stuck often.
