Shettima, Buratai flagged off the opening of Maiduguri to Gamboru/Ngala Road, Army gives free medical services, feeds IDPs

Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno state and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt- Gen TY Buratai on Wednesday flagged off the opening of Maiduguri to Gamboru/Ngala Road in Borno state.

The road which was shutdown for the last 27 months is one of the most commercially viable road in the country that links Nigeria to the Republic of Chad, Cameroon, Sudan and Central African Republic.

The event which took place in Maiduguri was later followed by series of events in Dikwa which includes free medical services, free feeding for 50,000 IDPs and commissioning of a solar powered borehole to improve Army/host
community relationship.

Shettima was full of praises to President Muhammadu Buhari for choosing Lt-Gen. Buratai as Chief of Army Staff and further stated that the Nigerian Army under Buratai is winning the war and those that are against him are sympathisers of Boko Haram.

He also thanked Buratai for sending best hands in the Army to fight the war in Borno and the Northeast. The visit to the ancient town of Dikwa was rounded-up by a visit to this historic Rabi house.

I just hope they will train those civilian Jtf well n distribute dem to communities where people are returning to n serve as protection while d soldiers continue their routing out n d state government find a way of paying d civilian Jtf, cos this people really need to be resettled so they can start trading n farming n fend for themselves n then d ngos can go to their communities to help them with basic amenities, instead of staying in d idp camps n be giving peanuts while some people steal what is meant for them.

Roads being reopened, stadiums being used, towns being rebuilt, markets returning to life...

If only Buhari wl tackle our economy Jus the way he tackle insurgency and corruption naija will be a better place now..toh a man is not perfect in all is doing. in the case of Gej the economy is better but insecurity was bad and our looters loot us dried. If only this govt can get the brain behind economy success in Gej regime may be Buhari wl be rated best naija presido.
