The APC Senator representing Kogi East insisted
that Senate President Bukola Saraki is only
guilty of the same offence President Muhammad
Buhari attempted four times, the crime of
‘ambition’


In the interview which focused on the Senate
President’s troubles both with the CCT and now
the court as regards the tampering of the
standing rules of senate saw Melaye stand
behind Saraki and saying “What the Senate
President is going through from my myopic
view is not prosecution but persecution”
He also said that Saraki’s Only Crime was
ambition to be Senate President, something he
says he shares with Buhari who had tried on 4
occasions to be President of the nation.
He slammed the CCT trail as being a sham and
that it was already falling apart under cross
examination.


On the matter of the forgery of senate rules,
Melaye said that the National Assembly being
an independent body already had mechanisms
in place to handle this situation and that they
should let it be handled there.

When presented with the fact that the 7th Senate
claimed that they had not altered the rules and
then questioned on how the rules changed Dino
Melaye said, “In 1999 when there was no Senate
when they resumed they started with a rule,
who produced that rule? The Bureaucracy
“So once the 7th Senate ended on the 6th of
June whatever happened between the 6th of
June and the resumption of the 8th Senate only
the bureaucracy can take responsibility, no
single senator can take responsibility because
as far as everyone is concerned the 7th Senate
winded up on the 6th of June so whatever
happened to the rules, the Senate, to the
national assembly between 6th and 9th that the
new senators were sworn in only the
bureaucracy will take responsibility.”
When asked about the identity of the
bureaucracy, Melaye identified the clerk of the
National Assembly, the clerk of the Senate, the
clerk of the house of reps as the bureaucracy.
He went on to say that even if there was indeed
a forgery, there were mechanisms in place
withing the Senate to clear up the issue. Stating
that if rules wanted to be amended or
challenged all they had to do was bring it up on
the floor of the house.

The despot Buhari cannot be compared to saraki, his crimes cannot be exhausted and he would pay severely for it by the grace of God.

Buhari is a bigot who cares less if the whole nation burn just for him to achieve his ambition.

So don't compare him with saraki

To a very large extent Melaye is right and I stand to be corrected on that. He is harping on the importance and why the "Separation of Powers" as entrenched in our constitution must be respected and hold sacred. Unfortunately, he is barking the wrong tree on this issue, Saraki has the right to take a shot at the Senate Presidency but choose to BETRAY his party to achieve that and this is CLEARLY what Dino Melaye, the monkey man, is missing he keeps hopping from one branch of political machinery tree to another branch of political stupidity. Saraki stole, embezzled, cheated, lied under an oath, against the people he governed and even his Country....before anyone will quote me out of contest, my point is, let the rule of law as against criminal charges takes its full course.... Enough with these persecution rhetorics this Mona monkey keeps disturbing us with. Why is Saraki afraid of court cases when he actually committed those crimes.

i only blamed jonathan for allowing buhari sail into presidency even when he should have used the the waec forgery against the cattle rearer.

If saraki and ike are dragged before a court over fogery, when will bubu face his own or has he tendered his waec result

I can wager Dino is still in one long sleep, he ought to understand that substituting "persecution" in place of "prosecution" will not blow Saraki, his god, any good wind as far as the case dangling on his head like the "sword of Damocles" is concerned. This is a clear case of forgery in order to favour a particular clique within the enclave of the red hollow chamber and through that singular action orchestrated by blind greed, the Senators are no longer united. These are wrongs that need correction. Melaye need to check in into a Rehab!

Hope you will not change your words when you wake up to hear Buhari changes the constitution and tell the senate it is the bureaucratic of the executive that should handle it

I have said it time without number that you people are too frustrated in that side and let me tell you, you will remain so because you can not get to the seat of power. Nobody will allow a frustrated being to rule a nation

What the senator meant to say was, If you commit a crime, just because you're contesting election, or already a government official, that crime should not count against you. Insane but that's the position in today's corrupt caucus. Ask many ordinary Nigerians too, they'll also be sympathetic to a criminal politician based on tribe, party affiliation, religion etc.
