Stating my simple plan

1 Calling out to all young artistes for a new jingle, if they can do memorial songs for late musicians they can as well do something for the tutus youths of today as a wake up call.

2 I like that presenter Freeze abi freezer, it's time he bombards the likes of Ben Bruce for an all out interview. Let's hear the senators talk.

3 The Senate is usually filled on Thursdays I believe, that's a good day to sit it out in the open for them there at the National Assembly.

4 Most importantly to have a 24/7 coverage of the whole process aired on YouTube. In case they hijack national broadcast.

Demands;

1- Immediate pay cut parallel to civil servants, politics is not a career as such their wages and allowances should be commiserate with the levels in the civil service depending on whether Federal or State. A uniform salary scheme.

2- I think we've had enough of this expatriate thing, a complete overhaul of the current set up of govt ministry and agencies encourage use of contractors in every facet of the economy leaving our teeming youths unemployed or discharged without benefits.

3-Social security; not just dolling out MasterCard National ID but making sure whatever #5000 they proposed goes in there amongst health insurance cover.

4-If Thomas Sankara could permit the use of the presidential hospital in Burkina Faso then the Aso Rock Hospital with all the huge budget accrued to it should be made for public use too.

5-They should buy their own cars like every Nigerian. Official cars to be managed by a national logistics Dept for all federal agencies.

6-The recommendations from the Confab is good and as such should be visited and passed. A Youth summit on the implementation of the initial recommendations and possible addition of more.

7- Civil servants are more of the administrative especially as regards industrial revolution in this country, we're struggling wm to be an industrialized nation owing to the fact that we have politicians heading ministries and part of the board in decision making and proactive planning. Time to let professionals take over, no more square pegs in round hole. If you're not qualified booth out!

Let's start from here.

Where are the people that started this process let them come here and boost its Morale.
Pls let's make sure this is not seen as supporting any Political party else it will fail. in my Opinion, no one should talk about confab let it not be like we are sponsored by anyone. This should be our thing. we form our own demands devoid of any yesterday agitations. Whatever and whoever feels aggrieved should just forgive let's start from here to recreate our dear Nation.

Those who eat and drink Tribalism should stay in their house.

A whatsapp group will accommodate just 256 numbers. We need numbers. Cos that's our strength.
a facebook closed group would be better,to all those people seeking financial help, they shud all stop.although I also have financial problem,I knw if we can get this right everything wud be better.
I support thie youth revolution 200%

We are not a political group. However, we need to have a say in the affairs of this nation of ours. Politics for me is simply the process of determining who gets what, and who is stopped from getting what; when and how. When I referred to a manifesto, I meant a comprehensive list of our demands. That aside, how do we go about having a team in all the 6 geopolitical zones?
All members should introduce themselves in these thread or create another platform where they can and then we can systematically select two or three each from the geopolitical zones...no leaders here..it's just an avenue for the youths to see that we are not sentimental and tribalist in our quest.. there will be spokesmen for sure...and we need the crowd, when I mean crowd...I mean thousands of youth from the east west north and south storming Abuja..with our mission and targeted objectives. Enough is Enough. Thank you

Thanks bros.

Only time will test the seriousness of this agitation. Nigerians are very good at initial gragra but I hope this turns out spectacular.

What is the strategic plan?
My suggestion is that we come up with two teams for now, namely: Social media team and the movement's strategy team.

Nice one.
Labour laws should be equally be looked into. In Canada, it's a crime for a recruiter to ask for one's age, marital status. Maltreatment of Nigerian workers by those Lebanese and Indians should also be addressed.

Great idea. Do we agree with the idea of coming up with teams?
Re: Youths/occupy/nigeria/2016 by dmanj: 10:53am On Jul 09, 2016
I accept d responsibility, however, I suggest we have at least 2 other volunteer to act as Secretaries to make us 3secs. It wud make d work less cumbersome and for efficiency purposes, so we don't miss out on anything.

dt won't b a bad one, but we need those who wud volunteer for them, but pls lets desist from having just one person for a task so we don't run into a situation where when d person is not available then there's a problem.

I am ready to serve in any capacity. Both online and Offline. Yes teams can be created consisting of those who love Nigeria. And their antecedents properly scrutinized. Woe betide anyone who betrays us.
We can choose from volunteers here and they gather in a Whatsapp group and discuss modalities both on and offline. Am in the South South.

I am also in for the struggle and lets make another alternative platform incase the government eventually knows about this and threaten oga seun to close down this thread.

Facebook or a harshtag on twitter. But first someone needs to compile the list of our demands. So we have a dignified and accurate demand. We need to put down exactly what we want

Thank you for that comment... The battle has never been about Apc and Pdp. It's about we the youths and the politicians. Please we need to set up a committee that will meet and draw up our manifesto. Then, report to the house. Also, we need to strategize against possible sell out and how to deal with situations where politicians would want to hijack the struggle for their selfish interest.

Welcome Peezy. You're right and that is why we need volunteers, cos there is little or nothing I can accomplish on my own. We need all hands on deck to build the Nigeria of our dreams.

This a good idea. Something needs to be done fast concerning the decadence in this country. Having two chambers of legislation is an error. House of Senate should be scraped.

Go ahead bro. Am ready to Lead from South South. Let's see other Leaders volunteer from other Regions.
Am going to draw out a plan if my schedule will allow me. And we can build from that. Once again, this is not going to be politically affiliated in any form.

Although I am not in Nigeria but I believe this is a honorable course that the youth must chart and I will definitely be a part of it. Once all logistics are made and implementation ready, I will support financially. In my lifetime, Nigeria will be great!
