Hellow guys, am setting up a music and video studio, I have a Name already. Must I register it with CAC before I operate? If I don't, what will happened? If I do, any benefit? For those who have studio, how did u do your? Thanks

You can operate without registering your studio. No one will disturb you. But you may have to work for a big client or company or govt agency one day, those kind of clients don't pay into personal accounts. But by and large most of your clients may still be normal everyday artist that may not care if u are registered

You need to register incase big client comes along like julimax said.I lost a big client deal this year becos i didnt have proper registration.

1. Operate without registering

2. Register the name first ( Not the entire process and to make sure your name hasn't been taken before you start using it )

3. Use the registration name to open a current account - Not expensive.

20-25k covers all bro
