What many may not understand is that fees for these guys may have been paid by one of the super rich hausas billionaires who are not like any we got in the South who are only interested in flaunting their wealth on Social Media.

The northerners do it same way they give out alms.

But most Nigerians told ASUU to stop going on strike in 2013....a strike which was all about getting more funding for the Universities. We told them to go home and rest , that they ASUU are part of the problem (partly true).

So ASUU went home and rested.

Also when Fashola increased fees for LASU, we told him that we are all poor and we cannot afford high fees. So, the fees were reduced, and we all rejoiced over how we put one over those ''greedy politicians '' (They are greedy too, by the way).

And as a result our universities are starved of funds. Meaning that our universities cannot attract world class research and world class funding and world class clout...even world class lecturers...which means they remain perpetually broke....with funding not up to 5 million dollars US

Meanwhile, unis like Yaradua London almamater get funding to the tune of billions of dollars US.No wonder the rich and even some of the poor are running out.

Yes, our leaders should have done well. I am not disputing that. But Nigerians should realize too that education cannot be free of charge. If you insist on paying less than 1000 dollars US for school fees every year...that is what you get. Poorly funded degrees.

Late President Yaradua's asset declaration as he was assuming the presidency back in 2007 showed a net worth of N900bn naira.(if I recall correctly).

Unless the money was wasted (!) after he died.....it should have been enough to pay for the young one.
