To become an expertise in electrical installation trade, it is advisable to work with an electrical contractor as an apprentice where you have access to field works.
Not to bore you so much . This trend is just mean to motivate you in the trade as I will be exposing you to things you will discover when you go on field
Electrical installation is sub divided into domestic , industrial and commercial installations. Just has the name implies domestic( homes ,office. ...). Industrial. (Factories, banks ...). Commercial (farms ...).
I would be talking about domestic installation for now .
Its most important for you to know that the electricity we use in home is A.C. Generated @ frequency of 50hz. So most of our home appliances are working on 220-230volt. Here in nigeria.

So our installation is aimed for provide outlet for our home appliances, lighting fixture. , and pumping control in some cases.
A distribution board does a very vital job by sub circuiting the outlet. So therefore our lighting outlet circuit breaker is on 5anp,10amps. Sockets. Is on 15amps., -30amp. Sockets range from our normal 13amps socket for t.v. , 15amps socket. For air conditioning system, cooker socket. e..t.c. I will stop here for now . Will be talking about how our lighting circuit look like ,+ cable types for it next.

On the solar cell.
The solar cell are semi conductor devices. . Don't want to bore you so much with all the physics behind semi conductor. Solar cell are produce current when exposed to light. ( Sunlight).
It important I affirm that this solar cells are just like batteries. They produce D.C ( direct current).
But we needed an A.C ( alternating current) to operate our home appliance. so here come the brain. That mean we need to convert this D.C to A.C to be ready for use in home.

However some street illuminations work on d.c. So you only need ur solar cell , battery, a sensor. I.c ( will on the light when its dark)

Buddy, please, be careful when you will be looking for a company that is engaged into electrical installation works... Seriously, it may be dangerous if you will try to safe money on electrical installation works. For example, once my mother (that lives now in Russia) had a certain problem with electricity in her house as the lights blinked occasionally, and the power supply system malfunctioned itself periodically (and, as far as you know, such things frighten old people, especially it frightened my mom). Once it bothered me, so I decided to find a company that could solve problems with electricity. I've called almost all my friends and they said that there is a famous company in Russia that could fix the problems with electricity. So, I ordered services of the guys from this site emiksmsk.ru and you know what? It was quite affordable to use their services, and, in fact, they fixed everything related to electricity, and you know, my mom thanks me even now, as since that moment she didn't have any problems with electricity

(P. S. To be honest, I didn't go into details, but I could see the result of the work of that guys - they fixed each problem related to electricity, so my mom stopped being afraid)
