Please engineers here, whenever I ON my system it shows this "1720- SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure (failing attribute : 5) please back up the contents of the hard drive and run HDD self test in F10 setup.
F1= continue F10 BIOS setup_" and then it switch off after some minutes.
Even if I press F10, it does scanning of chkdisk and on completing this it goes back to that same words and switches off
Please help me; What should I do.

Best if u hv 2 hdd cable inside d sys board, change any device using same cable with d hdd 4 test mayb it jst cable failure....NB disconnect any device tht may b sharing d hdd cable

your hard disk is gone. change it

Your hard disk is falling, remove it from the system and get a hdd enclosure, try and see if it will show by fixing on a friend computer, if it works back up your files.
But if it doesnt, you need to perform a hard disk recovery. Check this website for a guide.
