I have held my tongue on the issue of SW voting out Jonathan to favor Buhari. It is time to speak to this.

In the primaries of 2008, Obama against Clinton. Obama beat Clinton in Iowa, a traditionally white stthe and went on to clinch the Democrat Flag. Obama then also beat the Repblican McCain and won the Presidency election. Obama was not elected because Whites wanted anything from him or that they were slaves to Blacks or because they hated Clinton or McCain. These are all sentiments and illogical attributes.

The mainstay of American politics and economy is white race, just as the mainstay of Nigerian politics and economy is Yoruba.

America, due to the irresponsibility of Bush Administration, had become a liability and lost command of global influence. The custodians of the value system rebelled against their own and gave electoral power to a political rookie with an unfamiliar name and presence.

Here in Nigeria, the Yorubas, the mainstay of the economy and politics of this nation, the custodians of our value system, went through the cycle in three phases:

1 - they demanded and got justice on political mandate stolen from Abiola. In the election of 1999 it was either Falae or Obasanjo, both Yoruba.

2 - in aftermath of YarAdua's death, Hausas dominated the throne and frantically rushed to rob Jonathan his statutory right by replacing the elected YarAdua with an un elected replacement from their midst. Ijaws were powerless, Ibos were powerless to oppose North and restore justice for Jonathan. The Yorubas opposed the Hausas and made sure Jonathan succeded and took the oath of office.

3 - Under Jonathan Nigeria became a liability, lost all glory and the Presidency became an embarrassment around the globe. In 2015 Yorubas once more stepped in to restore our national value stock. They opposed the candidacy of Jonathan.

4 - Yorubas voted Buhari in because we needed to restore the political credibility of Nigeria and it was evident Jonathan was "clueless" on what to do to keep the economy and political knots of this country from coming loose. Buhari does ot have a clue either, but they shored him up with a steady hand, a Yorubaman, to keep the stake at equity level so the aspirations of the Northerner can be tempered when a time comes again, as it often does, for Yoruba to jump in and correct errors.

Those who grieve over Yoruba power at monopolizing political direction of the country are haters of our national value system. These people are intent on destroying Nigeria at all cost and anyone advocating a repair and restoration is an enemy of theirs.

Anambra11, you SE/SS had plenty opportunity and options to retain Jonathan in power if the outcome of the election was unsatisfactory to you but you did not use any of your options. Buhari is in power because Yoruba voted him but Jonathan is out because you cowards failed to live to your threats that if Jonathan is not President nobody else will and you will burn Nigeria down.

While Orubebe, a SS man was stopping the count in opposition of Buhari's victory Ibos were behind the scene whispering to Jonathan to pick up phone, congratulate Buhari and concede the election. It was a calculated move meant to buy them out of probe and jailtime.

While results were still coming in we see Madueke and Ogar, hijab on head, next morning at cock crow visiting Abdulsalami to be their tenor in Aso. These were die hard pro Jonathan, already dumped their useless principal and looking for favors with incoming administration. Obiano was visiting and congratulating Buhari before any politician from West had done so.

You Ibos need to cover your face in shame. Yorubas survive with or without Nigeria.

In fact, in closing we ought to ask, can Nigeria survive without Yorubaland?

grin grin grin so happy to see comments up there, all those screaming blue suicide as if we don't know how we arrived at this point of our economic and political troubles.
Buhari remains the only man for now who can handle this country, other capable hands are yet to join politics in any format. And if any of this national parties failed to draw those other people who we could trust more than buhari into politics on or before 2019 election, then I'm afraid we Yorubas have no choice then to keep him till 2023.
The president popularity remains intact so far we don't have more credible candidate filing for the post.

It is good to know that Yorubas know how to make sound political calculation to favor us. Although naturally Yorubas dont get bothered where the president comes from . we always have a very good angle n positive mind to vote our candidate. I was surprised during Obasanjo era when PDP swept the west despite the low popularity. And fayose too. It will take a share luck for Fayose to come back to power . it will take a share luck for APC to take OYO or OSUN .

What this is implying is that Yoruba would vote any government they perceive would better our lives . either by trial or error.

The main reason behind yoruba voting hausa man into power is because we believe Hausa need to be in power . then after Igbo. You will see by 2023 it would be a work over for an igbo taking the presidency. Its just mind calculations . we fight just war. Obasanjo was not even Yoruba choice . he has no say in the Yoruba system of things . Tinubu only position himself for this thing not because we love him. Cum 2019 lots of APC will lost their sit. Economy will be redistributed and another set of folks will rule .

Who presidency don epp? Who Jonathan epp?
If Buhari like let him continue doing this till 2019,when its time we will stand up and use our Thumb again

As for regretting, never . if 2015 come again,I wont vote Jonathan . He is a thief. He is clueless.

Igbos should know something you cant make people wAnt to support your opinion by hating them n abuse them.

Yoruba dont claim victims. We believe in our immediate leaders not federal.

We can survive with federal support or not.

Lagos is an example. Fayose has his choice but I bet he cAnt sustain it.

Its only Mimiko that I am still trying to understand . If I were mimiko i would form new political party get strong hold of ondo.before play the Tinubu card.

Igbos need to understand the way yoruba think. I understand how you guys think on a large scale. Its easy to manipulate you guys.

If hausa need you guys again to fight yoruba their greatest enemy, they will come for u n form alliance with u. And u will gladly support them.

You know what you guys are so easy . easy to manipulate.

The only thing u guy use to console ursef is Biafra. You dream it yet would not work for it

Rant rant rant.
You can elevate yourself to wherever you want but the truth is that Nigeria has three major ethnic groups.
Anytime two of them merged against one, the result would likely favour the two against one.

It's very easy for the Igbos to also side with the north and win whoever you throw out there to contest election. Unfortunately, Yoruba believe their closest problems both economically and intellectually are the Igbos, so the natural proximity hatred has been there all along.
Some of you make this look like Igbos won't vote for the candidates from Yoruba and Hausa. IGBOS voted Abiola, THEY voted Obasanjo, the also voted Yar adua; none is Igbos. But your anger is that they chose Jonathan, who is not even an Igbo man.
What would be your reaction if an Igbo man eventually comes out to contest? You would probably kill yourselves.

Which Igbo man have you ever supported in your life? You hate Ekweremadu, You hate Ojukwu, you hate Odua, you hate Okonjo Iweala, you hate Akanu Ibiam airport. You hate Second naija bridge even though it connects everybody. You hate computer village. You hate Alaba, you hate Ladipo. you hate everybody and everything. And each time these people mention they want to go, you start jittering like a new born baby. If we have to stick together, there is gonna be mutual respect and equal rights. If not, you will continue to think that Igbos are your enemies while they haven't killed any of your farmers.

This is no rocket science.
...

And for the record, you happen to be the biggest bigot I have ever seen here. So the Justice you got for killing your son Abiola is to become the President.

How many Yoruba politicians or army has ever killed a prominent man from the north? But I can give you the names of the people the North killed from Yoruba and Igbo, and these are the people you call your friends..

You see, this is what Im saying. Go through your posts and count the number of times you used the word "kill" or inference of death.

Ibo value system and social outlook is totally warped and unfitting for Nigeria.

Starting from bottom up perharps it will do you good to worry more about the fact that Hausa want to separate from Nigeria, Ijaw want separation from Nigeria, Tiv, Igala....all these people, Yoruba, Edo, all want separation, not a single of them is happy cohabiting with traditions and values strange to them, yet never has any of them took foolish steps in their demands and opened themselves up for suicidal confrontation...the only exception to the rule is Ibo.

So do you say Yoruba is your enemy?
