It was a moving sight yesterday, when the mother of two children, aged three and five, who died in an early morning fire in Lagos, Nigeria, was being consoled by friends and family members. The cause of the fire that consumed the bungalow of three rooms could not be ascertained. The occupants were reportedly fast asleep when the fire started. It attracted sympathisers, who made efforts to put it out. It was gathered that fire fighters were not invited on time.
