many will fall for ntel's antics, ull be surprised with the cost of their data after the awoof period has passed, ull av no choice than to continue with them even if it creates a hole in ur pocket.

Ntel 0804, Nigeria's latest telecoms firm has rolled out 4G LTE services in Lagos and Abuja.

Mr Kumar Abass, the Chief Executive Officer of ntel, said the operation will come with bumper offers for early bird pioneers and data users.

“ntel, Nigeria’s 5th mobile network operator start of operation is the culmination of its journey from acquiring the old Nitel/Mtel assets.

“The first 100,000 to redeem and activate their ntel SIMs will get free on-net calls for life, while data subscribers will get 3-months unlimited data usage.”

He said that ntel had established the Pioneers Club to reward early bird joiners to its network and those who had reserved their numbers, and who subsequently activated its SIM this month.

The ntel chief executive said the company’s 4G/LTE-Advanced technology built on the 900/1800 MHz spectrum would deliver unbeatable and game changing customer experience of high-speed internet access up to 230Mbps.

Abass said that mobile coverage would grow steadily and strongly over the next four to six weeks across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Lol liars. Mtn also promised high speed internet access up to 68mb/s ...doubt if anyone here has ever clocked 8mb/s on their mobile. They are all liars. They want fast success,2 million customers per day. The internet will only be fast for the first week before they start throttling.

But those things exaggerate results at times... I just downloaded that app and got 7mb/s...I have never clocked that while downloading files from any site. Highest ever was 3mbps and it didn't even last a second

Don't mistake mbps for MB/s. Internet speed is measured in mbps or mb/s (megabits per second) while the speed of download is measured in MB/s (megabyte per second). Also the speed of download is highly determined by the server that is hosting what u are downloading, that is why it is faster to download from some sites while some sites are slower. If u are getting 7mbps as ur internet speed, the highest speed u can download will be around 800kB/s. If u are downloading a file at 3MB/s then ur internet speed will be around 24mbps.

If an ISP is giving u an average speed of say 10mbps and u are downloading at a slow rate of around 100kB/s, then it is not that fault of ur network but the source u are downloading from.

why dont you try and get the sim before concluding .... The sim is FREE , you just need to activate with one of their Data bundle plans and see things for yourself period..

well.... ntel is yet to announce what happens after the 3 months unlimited test drive, In other news for those of us living and staying in and around Alimosho local government of Lagos and lagos state as a whole who needs to get the ntel sim pack, ntel router and ntel version phones i.e ( the konka R1, Konka R2, Tecno Camon C5, Samsung S7 and the ZTE Router MF286 - all are compatible with the 4G LTE advance Technology . ) for more details pls call: 08065660833 or follow @waxingtech on twitter and instagram. thank you.
