I see we just snapped up Andre Gomes from his imminent move to Real Madrid. Nothing gives me more joy that players constantly choose us ahead of them except for that fool Danilo, who's gone on to look unrecognizable for them.

Gomes should easily displace that flop Arda Turan. No one seems to know exactly why he failed to perform for us. They should sell him to China or ship him back to his home country.

I have to say I like our transfer policies this summer. All players signed very early and all players very young, with a potential huge resale value. We have seemingly moved on from buying players at the tail end of their career. It no doubt paid huge short term dividends but we now look into the future. Our La Masia is now a shadow of themselves but we cannot continue to live under the illusion that wonderful young talents will continue to flow. We have to show there is life even without our famed La Masia. Sooner or later a good coach in the likeness of Guardiola or Enrique will once more coach our B team and breath new life to them.

Ivan Rakitic's agent has cast doubt on the Croatia star's future at Barcelona with a cryptic tweet that appeared to question the Liga champions' transfer policy.
Barcelona announced on Thursday that they had clinched a deal to bring in Portugal international Andre Gomes from Valencia.
The transfer will swell their midfield ranks, with Gomes joining fellow new arrival Denis Suarez alongside Rakitic, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Arda Turan, Rafinha, Sergi Samper and Sergi Roberto.
Rakitic has been an influential member of Luis Enrique's side on the way to back-to-back domestic doubles over the previous two seasons and he memorably opened the scoring in the 2015Champions League final win over Juventus.
