•...condemns criticism of reading the speech

• Edo people need to have a documented evidence of his promise in order for them to hold him accountable for it

Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki; the Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 10 governorship election in Edo state has said he decided to put his Flag-off speech in writing and read to Edo people because of his burning desire to be accountable to the people based on his electoral promise to them and for Edo people to have a documented evidence of his promise in order for them to hold him accountable for it.

He made the statement through the State Coordinator of the campaign organization Mr. Osakue Aiyevbekpen while playing host to some support groups that were in the campaign office on a solidarity visit.

He noted that the criticism from persons he described as a microscopic few who are hired political town criers that go about spreading propaganda of lies to confuse the unsuspecting public in order to divert away their attention from the issues that affect Edo State and her people instead of telling Edo people what they intend to do for them if they are elected into government.

He then pointed out that, if there be any one amongst the array of candidates nominated by the different political parties for the forthcoming governorship election in the state, that is intelligent, vocal and eloquent the person he said is Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

According to him “It is very unfortunate and disappointing when people ask why Godwin Obaseki was reading his speech instead of talking from his head. If you were at the stadium you will understand that what he read was far more than a speech but a fundamental policy statement in form of a manifesto that was presented by him as a contract document which by virtue of reading it to the hearing of the people has become an undeniable signed contract document with them”.

He further stated “He decided to present it in that manner so that whatever he has promised will be on a documented paper which will be difficult to be distorted or misquoted out of context in the near future by detractors.

Godwin Obaseki is d next Governor of Edo State. Godwin obaseki is intelligent. A man who founded Afrivest the biggest investment company in Nigeria. A man who has helped shaped Dangote group into the biggest Africa company. With Godwin Obaseki,Edo state is sure of industrialisation with his knowledge, international experience and strong connection to dangote.

We cannot handover Edo State to Ize Iyamu, who was a cultist in Uniben, Rusticated for 2 years in Uniben because of his cult activities,who today is being sponsored by Ogboni party and Ogboni men like Igbinedion and tony anenih. Ize iyamu have never worked in his life. all he knows is local politics. A man who shared 700million from Dasuki. Money that was meant to save lives and protect churches in north east. Ize iyamu who claim to be a "Pastor" find it comfortable to use d money meant to protect lives and churches in north east as campaign fund. Ize iyamu can never become d govenor of edo state.

You are completely wrong. Peter Obi installed Obiano of APGA who is a technocrat like Obaseki as Governor of Anambra state. Today Anambra state is enjoying one of the best Governance in Nigeria. And today Obiano is not under the control of Peter Obi.

Oshiomole cannot control Obaseki. so cancel that thought. Anambra state is a good example. Voting for Obaseki is voting for good governance, brain,resourcefulness and industrialisation and investment in edo state.

As an indigene, one can't say the same about Oshiomhole been a very stubborn automatic person who fought godfatherism only to end up as one. Imagine Tony Kabaka celebrating "1Billion" without any Industry or company. Oshio's would want to remain in power indirectly. He concentrated only on fixing road because that is where he can inflate prize for personal gain. Did nothing about human development. So, he absolutely need someone to cover tracks and keep him on payroll. Mind you, Obaseki has started talking like a politician already by promising to create 200,000 jobs. We all know that is a lie. Neither is POI a saint. I would rather vote for COWA or other unfamiliar persons.
