We are going to install the gate of this compound soonest. Finish works still being planned.

We have mounted this huge gate at the entrance of this compound. Plastering works might start anytime soon.

How much was this gate? Was it bought in the owerri environment? Wil the price be similar in enugu/anambra?

I bought this gate for N130k along Mbaise road, Egbu Owerri. It will be about same cost everywhere in the east, but be careful as there are so many lower quality steel being used and the gates so made are of lower quality than this, cheaper too.

Thank you so much for the fast response. I think this gate is quite beautiful. How would I be able to tell between the good quality gates as opposed to those with low quality steel? Seems like when I'm ready to build I'll have to be buying some stuff though you if you're willing. Because it seems like I'm a prime candidate to be cheated from ooo.

Cost till date still stands at N16m. I am hoping the plastering stages and other finish items will commence soon as costs of materials are rising unabated.

We have just installed this gate at the site last weekend. .........

The way I like to hang my gates if it's a swing type is to hang the arms inside so that passers by cannot get a view of the insides of compound.

We have also got the contract for the completion of this house. We are going to start with the plastering, plumbing pipes, electrical piping works and the building of a 40 ft tank stand for storing water for the occupants of this house.

But first, we are trying to decide the type of window hoods we want on the windows of this house. Should we make the simple plastered type done with mortar like these two pictures. ........

I really love this gate. Silent but beautiful. Not too flashy making noise up and down. But sturdy. I'm saving this in my records for when the time is right.

This might be a bit more fanciful, but still plaster work with mortar.

We have restarted work here, complete plastering of this house , and the construction of a water tank tower is being done from today.

All the team of workers are already in the site now.

Plastering of the concrete parapet fascia, no time to waste. .......

Wow. I was quoted N340K for a much more simpler gate.

No Sir, we don't plaster the pre cast and that is an area for cost saving when compared to the concrete cast

My iron men in the steel tower department are not smiling at all.........

This height of tank tower with this size of H- beam will set you back by about N480k

Good. Because that is what my bricklayers told me... and I thought they were just joking. Money saved sir. Thanks.
My first parapet of course... without precast savings, I wouldn't have done it. Thanks again for all your lectures.

Oga mi, how tall is that water tank stand and how many iron they have to joined together to reach that height?
May be cost if available... I may need something massive like this instead of the wimpy one I have now..
