The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has banned Nigeria’s 4x400m women’s relay team from attending the 2016 Olympic Games holding in Rio, Brazil, next month.
According to IAAF, the Nigerian team was banned because one of them, Tosin Adeloye, tested positive to drugs during the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Super Grand Prix/Warri Relays in Warri, Delta State on July 24th last year.
Adeloye’s positive drug test and subsequent ban for eight years means all the results she achieved from the period she tested positive, individually and jointly will be disregarded. The Nigerian team can no longer forward a new replacement.

In my experience, have come to realise that some things are as a result of negligience or improper checkmating.
Nigeria has no scheme, even this athletes dont have knowledable trainers. The positive test mite not be has a result of a drug as many are judging. it could be from wrong diet or drink or even painkiller pills.

Who didn't see this coming? We knew Team Nigeria would have the worst Olympics outing since Yr 2000 however we never knew the embarrassment would come soo soon.
Clearly a case of logistic short-sightednes and ineptitude. You mean to tell me our Athletics federation didn't know of her positive result and it's implication? What happened to multiple random resting of all athletes during IAAF ranking events?
