I plan to commence a house project to accommodate my family. My friend has given me (free)the house plan made by his architect for his building, and I love the house. I want to just call a builder to build same for me and save N100k architect fees. Is anything wrong with my decision? |

filcast:you'll need an approved design but if the design is complete with your name on it, you can submit it for approval. I'm a builder though... |

The moral thing to do is to inform the Architect of your intention of using his design for your project and pay him a token. That's not gonna hurt. He might even help you in interpreting the drawings better or give a modified design which is gonna be better than your friend's... |
