@seun. Dude chill, you seriously lack insight. NL is a public forum, where every member is responsible and accountable for his/statement. You ought not to be for or against. Ever seen a media rep taking a personal stand? Adjusting the rules to suit your personal opinion is wrong.
Which one be personal opinion. The unity and progress of nigeria should be collectively fought for by all nigerians.

I was not around during the Biafra war ,my dad was and i got a lot of on ground info and I must tell all it ain't sweet.there is no where in the world where there isn't misunderstanding in the mist of an country, state, local gov, town, village to the family level. if separation is a way out ,then the world won't be enough for all. My fellow IBO people what we should be fighting for is UNITY among ourselves first before a country. those days we had a leader now who will lead us - forget all this agitators they are all business men.

Every time I hear about separation, then I ask : the east decides to leave, what then happens to all the easterns that are heavily invested outside the east.

First thing first the solution to the problem of Nigeria is not separation because all the top people that participated in destroying Nigeria are thesame people behind this whole separation. So what stops this same greed people from destroying Biafra?

The top people paid young innocent youth to put their life's at risk while their own kids are overseas. I ask again why must we the youths allow ourselves to be continuously used?

What we should common together for is how to make Nigeria great instead of destroying it. We all must say NO to violent and stop being used as tools by greedy people.

I know a lot of people will hate this but all I ask is that we a take a moment to think and ask if sacrificing our life's only to enrich the pockets of people is worth it?

May God bless us all and our great country Nigeria

Nigeria is a great country endowed by Almighty God. The ordinary Nigerians are people of common belief, they believe strongly in God and worship God as Christians faith or Muslim regardless of tribes or ethnicity.
Now Nigerian elites rulers are the brain behind all the manipulations of the the ordinary Nigerians, who they first of all render them poor and wretched and systematically destroy their access to quality education. This elite rulers have been embezzling the nation's wealth and converting them to their personal lifeline instead of creating wealth for the country. This leaves the people to wallow in perennial poverty. All the so called agitators for secession are evil machinations fuelled as a diversionary tactics by the devious elite rulers who are guilty of stealing the country blind since first republic. The enemies of this nation is not tribal or religious but devious and greedy elite who are scattered among all the tribes and religions in this nation,in their quest for personal glory which is totally vanity upon vanity. Until we begin to isolate them one by one, and stop their evil trade of manipulations and covetousness, we will keep wasting our time chasing shadows. What is a retired public servant doing with billions of monies they can't finish in a century while the nation can't finance its one year budget? What is a retired public servant doing with 100s of cars and properties not made from their sweat, where he or she can only sleep in one room at a time while many are homeless without shelter. This is a disaster that Nigerians must keep confronting daily, that only 10 or less number of people cornered the nation's wealth and brainwash the ordinary Nigerian people to misdirect their agitation. Truth must be told that the people have been made too weak economically and too blinded by illiteracy to know their enemies are the greedy public servants, greedy politicians, and greedy rulers both within the country and their coconspirator's in the diaspora irrespective of their religion or tribe. Enough of this deceptive ethnic nonsense, because it only surfaces as weapon when the pie has reduced too lean to share, but if we sincerely and seriously weed out the moles in our system we can grow the pie to go round for lifetime...GOD BLESS THE SINCERE NIGERIAN PEOPLE.

Fellow ss, let's forget these separation and embrace unity. Even if we have our own country there will still not be peace. The tribes in ND is just to many for this imagined peaceful unity. Plus we had a president for 6yrs, let's be honest, aside being a legend of democracy(which I still celebrate him for) are u really proud of how he led? Pikin no fine bt him mama still like am, dats why we can't reject him, no matter wot. Dat d unity and mindset we should ave and not bombing and clamoring for nonsense independence which we are not mature and ready for. And for the so called biafrans, u are only repeating the mistake of Ojukwu(God bless his soul though), bt imagine 3million of u dat died in the civil were still alive!!!! Just imagine dat and think. Understand wot led to the declaration of biafra by ojukwu and u would see a decision which had other solution. U've d DSP for more than 10yrs now....wot more do u want? Presidency? Nigeria have to trust u to give u dat nd dis biafra noise aint helping matters. U speak of separation, yet u are always travelling outside ur residence to invest, were is the unity in ur so called fight I stand with NIGERIA no matter wot.

these dirty politicians are playing their last card and the nation is fighting the last battle against them, we mustn't lost this battle:
look what are been stranded before are now resusitate, the gtv....line abuja/kaduna, refinaries, ajaokuta steel, in nearly a year the diversification of the economy is yeading the result, the looting fund being refund and all looting hole blocked, ghost workers, not only 500 billionnaira share last months, 70% of our budget will be finace by non oil resources etc etc ,why still skeptical?

Nice move Seun! Nairaland is a Nigeria- based site, and so anything that threatens the unity of the nation should be strongly discouraged. They wanted a radio station to broadcast their message of hate, and so had to open one. Biafra is right but illegal; don't be a party to the propagation of its messages. Once again, nice move.

You nailed it bro...God bless you..i've always wondered what will happen to all the easterners with investments in kano, kaduna, abuja, lagos n others? Are all these business owners clamouring for Biafra as well? No one alive during the biafran civil war will support some ignorant and jobless folks on this act...

This is about the most terrible period in our nation's life and what we need now is love, peace and unity. That's the only way we can progress.
