Bolustic:The irony right? They claim Lagos survives on the taxes generated from Igbo businesses. Abia state is home to ABA, home of fake and substandard products. It is the commercial hub of the East followed by Onitsha yet it still looks like a cesspit. Pathetic idiots. |

It belongs to all of us, Yorubas, Hausas and all Nigerians ply this route from Umuahia to Uyo, students schooling at Umudike University use same road to get to they are coming from every part of Nigeria, it is a danger to all of us. Dont be too sentimental on issues like this |

The op did not state which part of umuahia this place is, with my little knowledge of the place, the road from Umuahia to Ohafia through Bende can be like this. The truth be told there's no good road network in Abia state(my opinion). |

lagdmark:It's obvious you've never been to the SW. Umuahia road is so bad that I wonder if that part is Nigeria, same with Aba road from Ikot ekpene which looks like the aftermath of an earthquake. You will find over 30 filling stations that have been shut down because of the bad state of the road, that road didn't go worse in a year or two and I keep wondering what the past administrations have been doing in the east, I'm a Yoruba and I've never seen such bad federal roads in the SW maybe because the state governments are always contributing to the maintenance of the roads. Judging by these and more I always support the igbos when they agitate for seccession but the question that comes to mind is will they have a new breed of politicians? Because I'm not sure these present breeds really care for their people. I have landed gracefully. |

Wow, but northern Nigeria has graduated from its smooth state of the art wide roads to now using air conditioning trains on standard gauge high velocity railway lines. If Nyamiri complains, Iyariba shall tell Nyamiri that Nyamiri is a Tribalist that is why Nyamiri is envious and making noise. Next, Iyariba shall tell Nyamiri: you are frustrated, carry your frustration go to your erosion-ravaged East. But Iyariba campaigns harder and harder for the erosion-ravaged East to remain part of Iyariba's one Nigeria. Because Iyariba believes that if East goes, Southsouth is likely to go also with crude oyel. Loooool, the most Shophischicated tribe. |

Homestic01:This is Umuahia - Ikwuano - Ikot Ekpene Road.. ... That bad portion is in Oboro village very close to the local government headquarters. That road has been like that since the Era of GEJ and T.A Orji. Akpabio’s has fixed the Ikot Ekpene end of the road.. .. while fixing it he asked T. A Orji to partner with him so that they could fix the road once and for all but the man refused. The present Governor Ikpeazu has also decided not to do anything on the condition of the road because according to him the people of Ikwuano didn't vote for him in the last election and so they are the 5% in the state. However the present house member representing the area in the house of Representatives Hon Onuigbo has gotten fashola's to look into the state of the road but that is yet to materialize so for now the road is a death trap. |

DabuIIIT:RESTRUCTURING NIGERIA? It's not going to be possible restructuring Nigeria in a democracy any more, because Arewa which enjoys the political status quo is over-represented in any sphere of Nigeria's political process, including on the NASS. It's more than thirty years asking for restructuring Nigeria politically. But Arewa de laugh the southsouth and southeast politicians for thirty years over the calls for restructuring Nigeria. But all these years, Arewa use its undue political representation in every sphere of Nigeria's political process to take every modern and expensive development projects, including $1.05 billion standard gauge railway lines, to Arewa. Those still asking for restructuring Nigeria politically are time killers. They know Arewa cannot give up the political advantages it got through the undue large number of 19 states and Abuja plus hundreds of local government councils created by northern Nigeria soldiers in northern Nigeria. You know the only alternative left for the southsouth and southeast regions is cooperate to free the two zones from internal colonization by Arewa with the help of some of their Yoruba supporters. |

Dangote needs to urgently acquire Abia State. |
| Re: See The Poor Condition Of Umuahia Road by kikake: 12:40pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
kahal29:That's a federal road. For how long must south south and southeast state governments reconstruct federal roads at the expense of development infrastructure in the zones, while federal government has graduated northern Nigeria from north's smooth wide roads to ultra modern standard gauge speed and air conditioning trains? Enough is enough. One Nigeria is cancer for the southsouth and southeast. Treat it now before it kills the two zones. |

| Re: See The Poor Condition Of Umuahia Road by Abagworo(m): 12:54pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
Nothing strange here. This is likely Umuahia/Ikot Ekpene highway or loway. All the federal roads linking Akwaibom and Crossriver to Nigeria are cut off thereby killing business in that axis. |
| Re: See The Poor Condition Of Umuahia Road by Abagworo(m): 12:57pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
kikake:Your long epistle is useless as Nigeria will be restructured. It will be by State and not by zone hence nobody loses or gains. |

The Umuahia-Ikotekpene road is a death trap. Though from Uyo, the road is okay, but immediately you enter Abia State, that is like walking in the shadow of death. It is in a very terrible state. |
