Globacom has continued to retain its leadership position in the data segment of Nigeria’s telecom industry. The telecoms giant took the top position in the area of new internet subscribers acquisition in the month of June 2016.

According to the latest figures released by the industry regulator, Nigerian Communications Commision (NCC), Globacom closed the month of June with a total of 26,628,065 internet subscribers up from 26,355,391 in May. This indicates that the operator added a total of 272,674 new subscribers during the month.
