she deceives young and unsuspecting ladies who want to work and earn honestly.

She fraudulently collected 5k for registration into her agency with the promise of paying the girls 10k after the job is completed. one month after the completion of the job she returned the 5k registration fee to the girls..... meaning the girls worked for free.
She employed a 'supposed PA' to run the agency (who spent her personal money while carrying out her duties) only to be refused payment against their agreement,

Stella Nneka Ogbu is yet to pay the lady for the job she did, it's over 2 months now.

Stella Nneka Ogbu is a liar, a deceiver, a fraudster and a big time scammer!

on a certain blog, she has been called out severally as regards this same ushering business as well as non delivery of bales of clothes paid for.

she would issue disclaimers and deny all allegations.

for her issue to have reached nairaland would mean those people who called her out on SDK's blog weren't lying afterall.

Do well to pay people that worked for you. If you don't have the money now, be sincere and open to them rather than bringing such disgrace and disrepute to your name.

For this to reach Nairaland, they must have tried all available means to get their money from you.

To all those that are saying I scammed who ever, please o, I didn't scam no one. My instructions were clear, imagine my so called PA didn't even understand the simple words I told the girls on the recruitment? I told them that my registration fee costs 10k, I made them know that I allow a part payment of 5k, while the remaining balance will be removed from their first job.
The first job the recruited ladies did was on June 14. The pay was supposed to be 10k, according to my word, my balance of 5k was removed and I paid them 5k. I'm working on their next job coming soon so biko Mrs Peace that I supposedly thought will be peaceful, can you now see that you have no idea what's going on in my agency? Yet you claim to work for me and you expect me to gladly pay you. Like I said I want to see you face to face and that's when I'll pay you. I now know that age is just a number and maturity has nothing to do with one's age

Why will I keep bothering myself over someone that isn't even interested in Signing any papers? I was too busy preparing for an event coming up so I let that slide. Pls note that she started working on May 20. The only job she did was the event I told her of which took place on June 14. After the event my so called PA never called to make enquiries on other jobs, she didn't even bulge. Obviously she was waiting for her salary. During the interview, I told her I need someone that knows the in and out of events management and planning, she said of course she does, but trust me she has no idea. If I don't call, she won't call. How can a worker be this bad? A graduate for that matter? And you expect me to gladly pay you 30k? When I didn't see anything you did? I attend my meetings all by myself and I have a PA?
I travelled for business and I told her that when I'm back I'll like to see her face to face and not just transfer the money. She agreed, just two days ago she said she can't take it anymore, this is someone that insulted me last two months Even when her salary isn't due. Mrs Peace, you better learn to be polite. Am in Lagos now. I have promised not to call you, so when you're ready, call Me and let's meet at a place. I won't pay you 30k because you didn't live up to expectation. I'll rather use the remaining half to buy provisions for the less privileged than to pay you that 30k. Mark my words

Madam stella, whether you are satisfied with someone's work ethic or not, you have to pay them for the duration of their employment and then terminate the contract afterwards.

The op is legally entitled to her time and pay for the 1 month she worked with you. You are breaking the law by withholding her salary and i would advise the op to file a claim against you at her local magistrate/high court.

for the duration of one month
was dissatisfied with your work ethics
is unwilling to pay your full pay

She has made this attestations on a public domain....you have a clear case here and i suggest you file a suit. There is no need for mediation at this point. All madam stella needs to do is make a bank transfer of your salary to your account. Dont accept to meet her anywhere of pick any calls. Any conversations you have with her should be documented..ie text, chats etc

Nigerian employers must learn to act right at all times. That you are not happy with the taxi or bus you boarded from point A to B doesnt mean you wont pay the agreed fare

If the term of service is not met, I have the full right to deny payment. Everyone should abide with terms of employment/service, and all would be well.

I recently paid a particular Nairalander N20,000 upfront for a service. On the agreed date for delivery, I didn't get any feedback. I extended the timeline with additional 2 weeks still he failed with the excuse that one imaginary laptop exploded or so.

I asked for a refund, and to my surprise, I got "I don't have money now", and if I'm paying back, " I would pay N15,000 for the efforts". Really? For a job I did not get anything in return? Meaning I will lose N5000 + 10 weeks for a job some are ready to do and complete in 5 days.

I laughed so hard that day, while writing a mail already to his new employer. My aim for that mail was to terminate his recently found job by constructing a very disastrous mail with all documents attached, to his employer. Yes, I was ready to ruin his career for just N20,000, and probably forward his home address to appropriate authorities.

As you can see, it goes both ways. My take is this, what you cannot do or give, do not promise or accept. Employers may be bad, but employees sometimes can be disastrous.

In this case (OP), what will should look at is the term of employment. From the viewpoint of Stella, I do not think she has deviated from the term in anyway. OP, in my own understanding, failed to read the terms before applying for the job.

If she sets N10,000 as application fee, it is the discretion of applicants to apply or reject. This case is not enough to breed insults.

Lastly, Stella has been considerate with her choice of words. It is one thing to disappoint, it is another thing to accept your mistake and ask for a way forward. She's been calm to an extent so she deserves a fair hearing. For a rude person like one I encountered lately, I was fully ready to get him behind bars.
