Awww this is so sweet.....BBC's Peter Okwoche shared pictures of Brazilian football fan rocking a Nigerian Jersey with Kanu's name behind.Kanu is not even at the Rio Olympics,he retired from football long time ago.But his fans are still celebrating him."

This guy told me "If Kanu were Brazilian, he'd have be considered alongside Pele, Maradona and Messi" Kanu is his favourite player of all time and BTW he's Brazilian!"......Peter Okwoche from Brazil.

......Kanu is still loved and admired by plenty fans.

correction! KANU is a Nigerian, not a biafran!! the world know KANU as a Nigerian, you know KANU as a biafran. Kanu's fans worldwide know KANU as a Nigerian, not as a biafran. ask KANU if he is a Nigerian and wants to remain a Nigerian, he will answer YES. most Igbo elites like to remain with Nigeria, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Three reasons why I still loved Kanu after Olympic '96;

* He knew how to fall in the penalty box.

* He knew how to entertain fans, esp when the Eagles were leading with 2 goals or more.

* His unbelievable angle strike during Arsenal's 49 unbeaten run.

I'm surprised this thread is yet to reach fp.

O boy kpror!
Kanu dat cudnt score a single goal in 9 major tournaments(3 World Cup and 6 nations cup) and
You are here saying Fulani dis,Biafra dat.
U don brush?
World greatest strikers Neva went to plenty tournaments like dat without leaving a mark.
Which kain plenty hype be dat.
Okocha had 7 goals in four nations cup,Aghahowa also had seven nations cup goals in three nations cup tournaments.
Kanu is good in his own right.
If they say he is good,we'll agree.
Not comparing him to Pele and the rest.
Even Nigerian best footballer Okocha, never get dat kain accolades.

The problem with Nigeria is that tribal sentiments will always create unnecessary hatred for people outstanding in their endeavours.
