there are always favourites for the world cup. For the past 3 or 4 years, the favourites have always been argentina and germany. Qualifications do not determine favourites. Football fans know favourites from time to time.

I'm a Spain fan. I just want Messi to win an international trophy not just because he deserves it, but because their national team deserve it. 3 finals in 3yrs is consistency.

there are always upsets. That why we call them upsets anyway. Like greece, like leichester, like portugal. But such teams never get mentioned in pre tournament debates. You only mention them in hind sight. Bring Nigeria in a debate or discussion of who would win the world cup is delusion and stupiidity. Its just like bringing in Ahmed Musa in a ballon dors debate because you are a nigerian. Of course Ahmed Musa could cause an upset. But no one brings him in. Stop forming patriotic abeg.
