989900:childish.. Release 10 boko haram got 1 chibok girl and each boko in turn kill 10 Nigerians each.. Is that wise of you? You save one Nigeria and murdered 100 Nigerians.. Penny wise pounds foolish... |

Mynd44:Not good enough reason. The really sad precedence is, allowing BH take people captives at will, thank God that has been curbed lately. You use what you have to get what you need especially when lives are at stake. You release the Prisoners, and might as well track and eliminate them tomorrow if we're smart. Those traumatized girls for some BH prisoners, why not? Every country trade prisoners all the time. The US does all the time. Even traded controversial Cpl. Bowe for 5 Taliban big shots. These girls are our collective embarrassment. if Buhari's or Jonathan's daughters were among, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Have I mentioned the psychological angle you play with on the to be released prisoners, or the Intel the released girls can provide, which might actually be BH's downfall? |

989900:Nah that's a foolish move one Bh can kill hundreds with a bomb. I am afraid one live is not worth a hundred |

leofab:JSTFU kid, some things are beyond you. I have far better experience and training about situations like this than you probably ever will. If you trade the kids or not, can you guarantee BH won't kill 10, 100, or more people before end of today? It is what you do proactively defensively that counts, that is why you have the armed forces, a defense ministry, and defense budget. If you are scared your armed forces can't protect you against some BH prisoners released, what happens if the country is invaded by a foreign army? The police somewhere in Nigeria are going to receive bribes to release some hardened murdering armed robbers today (it happens every time), and they will still end up killing people -- take that for perspective. |

This is easy now. the Govt should plant a micro chip in all de boko members that will be use to track them and der location. then release them in exchange of the girls and use the chip to locate the boko haram hide out. |

chuks34:I will say government should inject the BH members with ebola, and release them to their mates. By the time the ebola becomes manifest, we will have our chibok girls back, and ebola in the camp of BH. Nigeria air force can then finish the job by dropping tonnes of bomb on the whole sambisa. |

Military intervention is the solution for me. Go in, kill em all and rescue whoever is left alive of the girls. The longer they are left in captivity the more danger they are in |

989900:You do not negotiate with terrorists for one simple reason: you conduct an exchange with them today, and tomorrow they'll go out and kidnap more people and make further demands. |
| Re: Parents Demand Swap Of Chibok Girls For Boko Haram Detainees by 989900: 12:40pm On Aug 15, 2016 |
Kgdavid:All governments and I mean all, negotiate with terrorists at one point or the other as deemed fit, after proper evaluation, except maybe in movies they don't. Thousands have been kidnapped by BH; not only the Chibok girls, they (CG) are just the ace. Now, those kidnappings weren't spurn off previous negotiations. |

| Re: Parents Demand Swap Of Chibok Girls For Boko Haram Detainees by Kgdavid(m): 12:57pm On Aug 15, 2016 |
989900:You should know that within military circles, governments are reviled for such negotiations. Look, a government may at some point or another negotiate with terrorists in order to score political points but i'm talking principles not politics. The moment you reinforce the terrorist's belief that it is profitable to kidnap people, get ready to continue to continue to accede to their demands because they are only going to kidnap more and more people, particularly in a country like Nigeria where it is quite difficult to prevent terrorist attacks. |

1)what of those release in Gombe recently are there not included for the swap too? 2) during campaign buhari promise to rescued chibok girls in 3month how many month in office today? 3)any attack on boko haram is an attack on northerner, how will this government then fight bh? 4) why upto date sponsorship of boko haram have not Named? 5)Is it true aconding to Abacha, that any crisis that last modern 24 government is involved? Can I concluded by saying politicians are playing politics with innocent Nigeria blood; That is why they always send there family abroad for safety, there should know that when nigerians are pushed to the wall, the country will be so Hot for the politicians |

If former President Goodluck Jonathan was not a weak Commander-in-Chief, the kidnapped Chibok school girls would have been rescued the week they were kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorists. But he politicized and messed up the prosecution of the insurgents in the north east. If he could meet and shake hands and pose for photograph with "Mama Boko Haram", and still failed to know the whereabouts of the missing Chibok school girls, then he was an incompetent Head of State. |
| Re: Parents Demand Swap Of Chibok Girls For Boko Haram Detainees by Roski1(m): 1:44pm On Aug 15, 2016 |
First of all, those girls have either died in the forest or have been married off. This request by the terrorist, is only a plot to divert attention so they can plot other moves. This was the same tactics they used during Jonathan's regime to divert attention of the gov't and the military and carryout their most deadly attacks. In my opinion, all the so called negotiators should be severely sanctioned by the govt. |

Let's agree some of the girls have been killed by the airstrikes, it means the other girls couldn't be far off. Let the NAF just take note of where they bombed and send ground troops to comb those areas for the remaining girls and for even shekau himself. |
| Re: Parents Demand Swap Of Chibok Girls For Boko Haram Detainees by Otimkpu440: 2:49pm On Aug 15, 2016 |
thesicilian:True, the anguish of the parents is unimaginable. You got that one right, so their demand for the exchange of the girls with the imprisoned BH members is in order. Put yourself in their shoes. The FG cannot say our defense policy is sophisticated enough to say government cannot negotiate with terrorists. Rather this is an opportunity to wipe out the sect once and for all Here's how to go about it. Cunningly sedate key members of the sect that are imprisoned so that they are knocked out for days. Make incisions and plant micro-tracking devices in their bodies. Release them when the wounds have healed and track their movements via GPS. If this had happened in Western countries, those girls would have been rescued long ago. |
