This evening Kacichukwu spoke to Richard Quest:

Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu told CNN on Monday that the militancy in the Niger Delta had significantly reduced Nigeria's production output adding that President Buhari was "concerned" about the problem. He said Nigeria would have to struggle to meet the budget due to the drop in output.

The Minister was speaking to CNN's Richard Quest on issues relating to Nigeria's petroleum industry and the slight rally in global oil prices.

On the issue of seeking a cut in OPEC output the Minister of State said he was not optimistic that that would happen. He added that OPEC represented 30% of Global production and that Nigeria would have to be competitive in the other 70%

Quest played a video showing the criticism by a Chibok leader that the army had started rounding up the operation in the North-East to focus on the Delta militancy without having found the girls and that the pipelines were deemed more important "than the girls in the bush" . Kacichukwu said ..Kacichukwu said the president had made efforts by visiting neighbouring countries and that the army was much more brisk in its combating the insurgency. He also mentioned the arms scandal of the past administration as having earlier hampered effort.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world, someone ( Facebook) is making billions of dollars per year from writing "ABCDEFGH123456;<>%$" on the notepad that is on every computer and laptop on the planet.
Repair the country today and in less than ten years, they will elect another Jonathan to destroy it.

Guy you are just too correct.Even with all the effort of this present Govt to diversify,if after accomplishing it.I bet the same Nigerians will still voting some one they believe should come and share the money
