”men Need Support Not Cooks” Lola Rae Responds To Pastor Adeboye’s Sermon by morereb10(op): 1:15pm On Aug 16, 2016
Its almost decades since RCCG GO's message on single ladies and single guys hit the air and yet its effect are still been felt till today. The latest being the Nigerian-Born British-Ghanian singer, Lola Rae thoughts on Pastor Adeboye’s sermon.

This sermon that stirred the social media recently when Pastor Adeboye admonished men not to marry women that could not cook still keeps raising controversies.

This is what she told PUNCH:

“Yes, I was brought up in a home where my mum cooked for my dad every single day, but she was a housewife. My thought is if you have the time, it is okay to cook for your husband, but in a situation where you are a career woman and don’t have the time to cook, there are ways you can go about it.

“You can hire someone to do the cooking for you or cook in bulk on weekends and store in the freezer.

“Definitely, if I have the time, I will cook because I love to do so. If God allows me and gives me the time do that, I will cook every day.

I’m a born again Christian but I think it is his (Pastor Adeboye) opinion and he is entitled to it and if that’s what he feels like the Lord is telling him, then that’s his own message but if there are other people who feel they don’t want their wives to do that and want their wives to support them and that’s what they feel it is their story, then that should happen. I feel that’s his opinion,”

What do you think guys?

This single statement made by pastor Adeboye over the past weeks has really caused personal unsettling feelings amongst some ladies especially the already married ones even though it was directed to his flock during convention.

Madam Lola.. i understand you perfectly and will not argue with you. But one thing i want you to know is that if a woman does not have the slightest chance to COOK for her husband, then she can never have the time to SUPPORT that husband. You even added that if God gives you the time to cook, then you will but if not, then you will hire. You think the men prefer foods cooked by outsiders for him to leave his mother's food to join with u as one only for a hired cook to come over the weekend to cook the week's food. How many minutes does it take to cook BEANS (which on a normal cooking takes time)
Well for me, cooking is fun and not even being the president of Nigeria can take that time away from me.
Even a foreign minister was breastfeeding her baby the other day and still giving public speech.

Anyway thats why its good to court before marriage so that all these issues will be addressed and agreed beforehand to avoid stories that touches.

Some married men till today cannot be able to DETECT the taste of their wives' food from 4 different dishes prepared by their wives and 3 other people. Lol. Even if its the same recipe yet some will code the one cooked by their wives.

Pastor Adeboye actually shared the criticism equally in his message,he admonished ladies not to marry a jobless guy,so I think people raising dust about cooking are just been controversial.

Btw what's so difficult in cooking for your fiancee/husband when you yourself will eat out of it?
If you ask me

I'd say pastor Adeboye nailed that point grin
